Roberto Bautista-Agut vs Novak Djokovic

During the quarterfinals, there were moments where Baustista-Agut appeared destined to lose. Guido Pella put up a great fight. He pushed Roberto in the first set, losing 5-7. Then, Pella actually beat Bautista-Agut 6-3 in the third set. Roberto took Pella down 6-3 in the fourth set, though. That made him the winner. Does Roberto Bautista-Agut’s victory over Guido Pella put him in a good position to beat Djokovic on Friday?

It might. Novak Djokovic looked unbeatable in his 6-4, 6-0,6-2 victory over David Goffin in the quarterfinals. Bautista-Agut and Novak have battled 10 times. Although Djokovic has 7 wins from those 10 matches, Bautista-Agut knows what it’s like to beat Djokovic.

Not only that, but Bautista-Agut is more battle tested during Wimbledon. He’s faced 3 seeded players. Djokovic has only faced a single seeded player, Goffin. The odds imply Djokovic dominates Roberto Bautista-Agut. He might. He should, but he offers underlay odds at -1249 versus a player that has beaten him in the past. The dog is worth backing.

Tennis Betting Pick: Roberto Bautista-Agut

Roger Federer vs Rafael Nadal

Rafael Nadal handled a very good grass player in the quarterfinals. Sam Querrey had looked fantastic. His preferred surface is grass and although Querrey pushed Rafa in the first set, Nadal won it 7-5. Then, Rafael simply took apart Querrey, winning the second and third sets by the same 6-2 score.

Federer faced Kei Nishikori in the quarterfinals. He lost the first set 4-6, but then won the next three sets: 6-1, 6-4, and 6-4. Federer got into a groove versus a very good tennis player. Like Nadal, he’s playing great tennis heading into this semifinals.

These two have battled 40 times. Federer has won only 16 of those matchups. However, they didn’t throw down at all in 2018 and in 2017, Federer got the best of Nadal. Fed beat Rafa in the 4 matches in 2017. He also beat Nadal on the hard surface at Indian Wells earlier this year while the King of Clay took down Federer at the French Open in the last major.

It’s impossible to go against Nadal right now. It’s more impossible to go against Roger Federer. If this match were on clay, Rafa would be an easy pick. On grass, Fed gets the nod.

Tennis Betting Pick: Roger Federer
