Still, I’m going with the freaky lefty in Gilles Muller mostly because his cross-court forehand will be bigger weapon than Almagro’s one-handed backhand if they get into any lengthy rallies. Match: Nicholas Mahut -2 vs. Martin Klizan Moneyline: Mahut -145 / Klizan +125 Total: 22.5 Analysis: Klizan, ranked No. 35 and Mahut, the World No. 41, have split two career matches with Mahut winning the first meeting in four sets at the 2012 French Open and Klizan getting some revenge by beating Mahut in three tough sets in the semis at the 2016 Rottendam Open. Mahut is 22-19 this season with one title while Klizan has gone 14-14 while bagging two titles. For this match, I’m going to urge you to back the 27-year-old Klizan to beat the 34-year-old Mahut, mostly because of the age factor and the fact that Klizan has more firepower of the ground than Mahut. I say, expect another thriller that goes the distance and plays Over the 22.5-game O/U Total. Pick: Martin Klizan in three sets Match: Philipp Kolschreiber vs. Jack Sock -2 Moneyline: Kolschreiber +130 / Sock -2 -150 Total: 22.5 Analysis: World No. 32 Philipp Kolschreiber has gone 32-20 this season with one title while World No. 24 Sock has compiled a solid 34-20 mark with no titles. These two have never met before, but I like the younger Sock to get the win mostly because he’s eight years younger than his opponent and has far more firepower than his 32-year-old opponent. I love the way Philipp Kolschreiber plays and I’m expecting him to give Jack Sock a hard way to go, but in the end, with this match taking place on hard court, I like Jack Sock to get it done!
