Nobody hates to lose more than Nick Saban. After losing to the Georgia Bulldogs in last year’s National Championship game, we’re sure that Alabama will be back with a vengeance.
The oddsmakers have the same opinion that we do, as the Crimson Tide have been made the favorite to win the title this season. With a roster full of some of the nation’s most talented players, a Heisman-winning quarterback returning, and Saban leading the way, it’s going to be another great season for the Crimson Tide.
In looking at Alabama’s schedule, we’ve found some games that you should circle on the schedule, as you’ll want to remember to place a wager on these games. Let’s get right to it so you can plan your bets against their College Football Odds.
Will The Tide Roll in 2022? | College Football Betting Analysis
Alabama @ Texas – September 10th
This is the year that the Texas Longhorns are supposed to make it back to the elite level of college football teams. Steve Sarkisian has brought in a top-rated quarterback in Quinn Ewers. Ewers should have plenty of weapons at his disposal.
Even with Alabama having a great defense, they could be in for a long day. They have to travel to Austin, and Texas hasn’t been kind to Saban. Last season he lost to Texas A&M on the road, and could he do it again in Austin?
The early lines have Alabama favored by nearly two touchdowns. We think that Alabama will get the better of Texas, but we don’t know if they’ll cover the spread.
Texas A&M @ Alabama – October 8th
This one has all sorts of storylines attached to it. First off, there was a war of words between Nick Saban and Jimbo Fisher. Saban accused Fisher of taking unfair advantage of the NIL rules, in essence accusing him of cheating the system.
Another storyline stems from last season when Fisher became the first former Saban assistant to beat Saban. When the Aggies beat the Tide last season, many felt that Fisher’s squad had finally taken the next step. However, Texas A&M struggled towards the end of the season, and the season was deemed a disappointment.
Texas A&M will come to Alabama with their most talented roster to date. They had the nation’s top-rated recruiting class, and they’ve had Top 10 classes over the last six seasons. We’ll see how Fisher’s recruits match up with Saban’s.
Early on, the Aggies are a double-digit dog, according to the oddsmakers. This could be the game of the year in the SEC. Alabama has too much to lose, and they’ll beat the Aggies.
Alabama @ Ole Miss – November 12th
Any time that Saban and Lane Kiffin get together, we always seem to see some offensive fireworks. Kiffin’s offenses always put up a ton of points, but their defense also gives up a lot of points. We’ll see a lot of points in this one.
Kiffin’s crew will give Alabama fits at home, but they won’t have enough to beat Alabama. Even on the road, Alabama should be a double-digit favorite. A lot can happen prior to November, so we’re not sure where both teams will be at, but on paper, Alabama is definitely the better team.
