Eryk Anders +180 vs Kyle Daukaus -220
Underdog Eryk Anders isn’t in great form. Anders has lost 3-of-5 with a draw and a win. Eryk lost his last bout via split-decision to Junyong Park.
Favorite Kyle Daukaus also lost his last fight. But Daukaus’ loss happened versus 11-1 Roman Dolidze, which is why Daukaus is the chalk in this. Still, it can take time for an MMA fighter to get past a knockout loss, making Anders the play.
UFC Fight Night: Eryk Anders
Jack Hermansson -190 vs Roman Dolidze +160
Dolidze is on a 3-match winning streak. So it’s difficult to understand why he’s the underdog in this.
It’s especially difficult because Hermansson has lost 2 of his last 4. Both losses happened via decision, 1 was unanimous, the other was a split-decision loss.
So, maybe, the oddsmakers believe Jack gets by Roman via decision. The odds, though, make Dolidze an overlay. So that’s the way to consider going.
UFC Fight Night: Roman Dolidze
Tai Tuivasa +180 vs Sergei Pavlovich -220
Both of these MMA brawlers have a good enough resume to get it done. Tuivasa is the underdog because he lost his last via knockout to Cyril Gane.
Also, Pavlovich is 16-1 and has won 4 straight. Tai will fight hard, but Sergei has a serious physical advantage in reach and height. The chalk gets the win.
UFC Fight Night: Sergei Pavlovich
Matheus Nicolau -380 vs Matt Schnell +300
18-3-1 Matheus Nicolau is the favorite because he’s has won 5 straight and is 5-0 via submission victories. Schnell has lost 2-of-5 with a draw and a couple of victories.
Matt did win his last, via submission against Sumadaerji. This isn’t a huge step up in class. So the dog could get it done.
UFC Fight Night: Matt Schnell
Bryan Barberena +400 vs Rafael Dos Anjos -550
18-8 Bryan Barberena is in terrific form. Not only has Barberena won 3 straight, but he knocked out Robbie Lawler in the second round in his last bout.
On Saturday night, the dog in this faces cagey Rafael Dos Anjos. But the 38-year-old legend has lost 3-of-5, including dropping his last match. Backing the dog is the way to go.
UFC Fight Night: Bryan Barberena
Stephen Thompson +145 vs Kevin Holland -170
In the main event, 16-6-1 Stephen Thompson hopes to end a 2-match losing streak. Both of Thompson’s losses happened in 2021, which means Stephen must also get past the rust that comes with long layoffs.
Kevin Holland has gone 2-1 in his last 3 bouts. Holland lost his last, but it came via submission to 12-0 Khamzat Chimaev. On Saturday, Kevin has a huge advantage when this fight goes to the ground. The chalk gets it done.
UFC Fight Night: Kevin Holland
