Vettori vs Dolidze 2 Odds in UFC Fight Night Main Card

When: Saturday, March 15 at 4:00 pm ET
Where: UFC Apex, Las Vegas, Nevada
TV/Streaming: ESPN+

Stephanie Luciano -165 vs Sam Hughes +215

Prelims
UFC Fight Night Pick: Stephanie Luciano

Luciano has a couple of physical advantages. She’s taller and has a longer reach. More importantly, the -165 favorite has won 3-of-4.

Sam Hughes has lost 2-of-4. Luciano’s more focused Muay Thai style gives her an edge over Hughes’ freestyle fighting. The chalk prevails.

Waldo Cortes-Acosta -175 vs Ryan Spann +145

Prelims
UFC Fight Night Pick: Ryan Spann

Ryan Spann was on a 3-match losing streak before his last when he submitted Ovince Saint Preaux in the first round.

The submission victory could be a sign that Spann is about to pounce onto a winning streak.

Cortes-Acosta has won 3 straight, but his ground game isn’t as polished as Spann’s. Backing the dog makes sense.

Da’Mon Blackshear -475 vs Cody Gibson +340

Main Card
UFC Fight Night Pick: Da’Mon Blackshear

Underdog Cody Gibson should be in for a long night. Gibson has a decent stand-up game, going 7-0 via TKO/KO.

But his ground game leaves something to be desired at 6-4.

Blackshear is 10-0 via submission. So if this goes to the ground, Blackshear gets the win. The chalk looks tough to beat.

Alexander Hernandez -190 vs Kurt Holobaugh +160

Main Card
UFC Fight Night Pick: Kurt Holobaugh

Favorite Alexander Hernandez has lost 3-of-5. Hernandez won his last but by a slim margin, a split-decision.

Holobaugh has won 4-of-5. Kurt is also 8-1 via TKO/KO and 10-1 via submissions.

The odds are strange in this one, but I’m not arguing. Back the dog to cash.

Chidi Njokuani +155 vs Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos -185

Main Card
UFC Fight Night Pick: Chidi Njokuani

Here’s a fight where the underdog has a couple of significant physical advantages. Njokuani is 4 inches taller and has a 7 inches reach advantage. Njokuani also won both of his fights in 2024.

The favorite is 15-1 via TKO/KO, which explains the odds. Still, it’s tough to back the chalk considering the advantages Chidi brings into this bout.

Marvin Vettori -150 vs Roman Dolidze +125

Main Event
UFC Fight Night Pick: Roman Dolidze

Underdog Dolidze is on a 2-match winning streak, is 8-0 via TKO/KO and 3-0 via submissions. Vettori has lost 3-of-5 and hasn’t fought since 2023.

The odds don’t make much sense in this. Vettori is a great mixed martial artist, but the layoff and the fact Dolidze puts Marvin in a tough position.

Taking the decent odds on the underdog is the way to go.

UFC 313 Recap: Gaethje and Ankalaev Shine

Lemos upsets Lucindo

Iasmin Lucindo was the -150 favorite versus Amanda Lemos. All Lemos did was impress enough judges to win every round of the 3-Round bout, 29-28. Lucindo out connected Lemos overall.

But Lemos had the more significant strikes. Also, Amanda scored on 3-of-5 takedown attempts. Lemos put herself into a position for a title fight with the win.

Gaethje takes down replacement fighter Fiziev

Money poured onto Rafael Fiziev after Dana White announced he was the replacement for the injured Dan Hooker versus Justin Gaethje. At the time of the fight, Fiziev had become a respectable -155 chalk.

Gaethje would have none of it. Justin won every round 29-28 by outscoring Fiziev to the head. The fight was as close as it gets, though, because Fiziev scored 2-of-2 takedowns.

This could have gone either way, which means a rematch is highly likely.

Ankalaev ends Pereira’s light heavyweight reign

I though Alex Pereria had the stronger chin in his bout versus Magomed Ankalaev, which is why it didn’t surprise me that late money sent Pereira from a -115 favorite to a -135 chalk.

I, like many others, was wrong. Ankalaev scored an easy win, outscoring Pereira by almost 20 in significant strikes and almost 40 in overall strikes.

Magomed dominated from beginning to end when securing his fourteenth straight win. The new champ is as fearsome as it gets.

So don’t expect others to line up to take him on.
