It’s back to Sin City we go on Saturday for UFC Vegas 20 and a main card that features 5 big fights. MMA fans could certainly be excused for looking ahead to next weekend, as we have a trio of title fights set to go at UFC 259, but doing that means missing out on some potential bangers on this card. While certainly not of the caliber of what is coming next week, there are still some great looking fights on the card this weekend, which means another opportunity to add some money to your bankroll. We are going to quickly break down each of the 5 fights on the main card, with UFC odds and predictions for each bout also included.
UFC Fight Night: Rozenstruik Vs Gane | MMA Betting
Alex Caceres (-200) Vs Kevin Croom (+160)
The main card begins with a Featherweight bout featuring a pair of experienced fighters squaring off in the octagon. Caceres comes in with a 17-12 record, but he has been putting things together rather nicely if late, winning each of his last 3 fights. 2 of those went the distance, with his last fight ending in the opening round. Croom had won 3 in a row before seeing his last fight end in a no contest in what was his first fight under the UFC banner. Caceres has had success in his time in the UFC and I like that to continue with a decision win.
Pedro Munhoz (+120) Vs Jimmie Rivera (-150)
This bantamweight bout looks to be very evenly matched, with both fighters looking to break out of recent slumps. Munhoz in particular could use a win here, as he has now lost 2 fights in a row, albeit against a pair of very good fighters. He is slipping down the rankings, though, and needs a win to start moving in the right direction. That will not be easy against Rivera, although he has lost 2 of his last 3, also against very good fighters. A close one here, but I am going with the underdog by decision.
Montana De La Rosa (+110) Vs Mayra Buena Silva (-140)
This Flyweight bout is another one that looks to be almost too close to call, as these two fighters seem to be very evenly matched. De La Rosa has been slipping down the ranks of late after taking 2 losses in her last 3 fights. Each of those bouts went the distance, so she is not a fighter that is easy to take out. Silva is not quite as experienced as her opponent, but she still has a solid 7-1 career mark, including going 2-1 in the UFC. I think it’s Silva who edges it here, perhaps via submission.
Nikita Krylov (+285) Vs Magomed Ankalaev (-360)
This is a Light Heavyweight bout between a pair of fighters in the top 10 in the division, and it’s one that could well deliver some fireworks. It is Krylov who actually has the better ranking heading into this fight, but it is Ankalaev who has all the momentum right now. Krylov is 27-7. But he has been inconsistent of late, losing 2 of his last 5 fights. After seeing his progress slowed with a loss to Paul Craig, Ankalaev has reeled off 5 straight wins and looks set to make it 6 on Saturday night.
Jairzinho Rozenstruik (+205) Vs Ciryl Gane (-265)
It’s the big men who are up in the headline event, with both of these Heavyweight fighters looking to continue down a path that will get them one step closer to a title shot. Rozenstruik took the first loss of his career a couple of fights ago, although he did bounce back with a convincing win over Junior dos Santos last time out to get to 11-1. Gane, on the other hand, is still perfect at 7-0 and has made a habit of getting the job done early, which I think he does with a KO in this one.
