UFC on Fox 19 Fight Night Betting Odds and Main Card Preview

Written by on April 15, 2016

Okay MMA betting lines enthusiasts, the UFC will be back in action this weekend when UFC on Fox 19 gets underway on Saturday, April 16 at 5:00 PM ET, live from Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida. If you didn’t know, the UFC on FOX 19 card has changed multiple times heading into this week’s event. A scheduled headline match up between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Tony Ferguson was scrapped. Then, a fight between Lyoto ‘Shogun’ Machida and Dan Henderson fell apart just this week and last but not least, a bout between Shogun and Rashad Evans has now become Glover Teixeira versus Rashad Evans. UFC on FOX 19 still remains a value-packed, exciting card…just know that it has a whole different look from what it was originally intended to be. Here is a look at the main card and the odds for each fighter.

UFC on Fox 19 Betting Odds and Main Card

Glover Teixeira (-220) vs. Rashad Evans (+180)

Rashad Evans will look to regain the form that once made him a champion and has helped him become a household name in the sport of mixed martial arts. Glover Teixeira is also a big-time fighter that went up against former champ, Jon ‘Bones’ Jones not very long ago and has looked very good in winning his last two fights. This bout also extends the rivalry between American Top Team and the Blackzilian gym, which Teixeira and Evans represent, respectively.

Rose Namajunas (-225) vs. Tecia Torres (+185)

Torres, ‘The Tiny Tornado’ won the first bout between these two top straw weights back in 2013 in a thrilling back-and-forth battle than ended with Torres having her hand raised. Since then however, Namajunas has improved dramatically in both her striking and ground game, though Torres has also allegedly improved her footwork and counter punching. Despite beating her opponent in their only other meeting, Torres is an underdog this times around, though, a value-packed one for sure!

Khabib Nurmagomedov (-1050) vs. Darrell Horcher (+550)

Nurmagomedov is arguably the best lightweight in the world when he’s healthy, but he’s missed nearly two years because of injuries. Horcher accepted this fight on a week’s notice and has no previous experience in the UFC.

Cub Swanson (-125) vs. Hacran Dias (+105)

Swanson is an exciting fighter that provides non-stop action when he’s in the octagon, but he’s lost two straight and face a real grinder in Hacran Dias in a bout that oddsmakers apparently believe will be very close!
