Last Three UFC Promotions of the Year to Bet On

This year’s final three UFC promotions have something for everybody. Beneil Dariush takes on Arman Tsarukyan in the main event at the UFC Fight Night on December 2. Then in the second UFC Fight Night of the month on December 9, Song Yadong throws down against Chris Gutierrez. The final UFC promotion of 2023 is UFC 296 where champ Leon Edwards puts his title belt on the line versus Colby Covington.

Which mixed martial artists get it done in what should be an excellent December of MMA action?

Check out UFC lines where available along with analysis of both UFC Fight Night events as well as UFC 296.

UFC Fight Night: Dariush vs Tsarukyan

Saturday, December 2nd, 2023
Moody Center, Austin, Texas

Prelim Card Most Competitive

Meisha Tate +135 vs Julia Avila -165
Meisha Tate is close to being a female mixed martial arts legend. But Tate has lost 4-of-5. However, Meisha’s last but was on July 16, 2022.

Tate wouldn’t have taken this fight, actually, Dana White wouldn’t have put Tate on the card, if Meisha wasn’t ready. Avila has won 4-of-5. So Tate will have to be ready to even hang with the chalk.

Main Card Most Competitive

Rob Font -140 vs Deiveson Figueiredo +120
Figueiredo is a former champ. Deiveson ranked in the overall top ten at one time. Nowadays, he must fight on the undercard at UFC Fight Nigh events.

Then again, a win over favored Rob Font would for sure give White a chance to give Figueiredo another title shot. Font, though, won’t make it easy on Deiveson. This bout should be epic.

Main Event

Beneil Dariush +220 vs Arman Tsarukyan -270
Dariush can hang with most mixed martial artists in the UFC Lightweight division. The one fighter he projects to struggle against is Arman Tsarukyan.

Tsarukyan has won 4-of-5. He’s 8-1 via TKO/KO and 5-0 via submission. Arman’s lone loss in the last came via unanimous decision.

UFC Fight Night: Song vs Gutierrez

Saturday, December 9th, 2023
UFC Apex, Las Vegas, Nevada

Early Analysis: Odds aren’t out yet for the month’s second UFC Fight Night. One of the reasons could be because Dana wants to put together a fight card that includes many Chinese mixed martial artists.

In fact, the four prelims that UFC have announced on the December 9 pits Chinese fighters against Japanese in a couple of bouts. The rest of the fights are Chinese fighters versus Chinese.

Song might be the favorite but we’re not sure. Opponent Chris Gutierrez is good. Wait for White to set the entire card before even starting to handicap.

UFC 296: Edwards vs Covington

Saturday, December 16th, 2023
T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas, Nevada

Prelim Card Most Competitive

Josh Emmett +145 vs Giga Chikadze -175
Chikadze has won 4-of-5 with the lone loss happening via unanimous decision to Calvin Kattar last January. Not only is Chikadze fighting well, but he’s got a massive height advantage and reach advantage over Josh Emmett.

However, Emmett is just a +145 underdog. It makes sense because few fighters have the tenacity that Emmett does. Josh versus Giga will be fun.

Main Card Most Competitive

Alexandre Pantoja -210 vs Brandon Royval +175 | UFC Flyweight Title Fight
The taller fighter is the underdog. Brandon Royval is 4 inches taller than Alexandre Pantoja. So at first glance, it doesn’t make sense why the champ would be the favorite.

Ah, but Pantoja beat Royval in the first matchup, forcing Brandon to submit in the second round in a 2021 bout. Since the loss, Royval has won three straight. So before signing on to Alexandre’s bandwagon, make sure to handicap this one.

Main Event

Leon Edwards -125 vs Colby Covington +105 | UFC Welterweight Title Fight
Edwards versus Covington will be a bout of the year candidate. Both men will enter the Octagon knowing they’re going to have to lay it all on the line to get the win.

Leon taking on Colby is why Dana White is a master matchmaker. Edwards, the champ, has won 2 straight over the great Kamaru Usman.

Covington beat Jorge Masvidal in March 2022. Colby will have to knock off the rest. Based on the early odds, most believe Covington does just that.
