LFA 101: The Undefeated Expert Analysis

Written by on March 12, 2021

While it is the UFC that generates the greatest amount of buzz in the world of MMA, there are plenty of other organizations putting out very good events. The good news is that if you have access to UFC Fight Pass, you also get access to many of these events. We have one coming up on Friday night, with LFA 101 the next to go.  It’s a pretty jam-packed main card, with no less than 7 fights scheduled. Picking winners here is going to be tough, as most of the fighters are still fairly new to the pro level. Let’s take a closer look at the main card along with their MMA odds.

LFA 101: The Undefeated | MMA Betting Analysis

Mark Climaco (-300) Vs Pololu Nakanelua (+200)

The main card opens with a Flyweight bout between a pair of fighters who both come in with a 4-0 record. After winning by decision in the opening fight of his career, Climaco has not had to go beyond the second round in his 3 other victories. That run might be put to the test here, though, as Nakanelua has a pair of decision wins in his 4 fights. I think this one might go the distance, with Climaco coming out on top.

Alden Coria (-330) Vs Rashaad Robinson (+215)

It’s another Flyweight bout that comes next, with Coria looking to continue the unbeaten start to his pro career. Coria is 3-0 in the early going and has already had one fight in the LFA, taking out Calvin Harbaugh in the opening round back in September. Robinson is 3-1 and bounced back with a win last time out after taking the first loss of his career. Coria might need to go the distance, but I think he wins.

Hunter Colvin (-290) Vs Obinwa Ikebunna (+190)

While I think we might see the first two fights go the distance, I can’t say the same for this Middleweight bout. Colvin is a perfect 2-0 to start his career and has never had to go beyond the opening round to get those wins. It is the exact same story for Ikebunna, who has the same 2-0 record and who has a pair of opening round wins. I am on Colvin to get the job done here.

Jaqueline Amorim (-900) Vs Taisha Gandy (+500)

This Strawweight bout is a little more difficult to predict given that we have no information to go on with one of the fighters. This is the first professional bout for Gandy, but it does look as though she is going to be in for a tough time of it against Amorim, who has won both of her pro bouts by submission in the opening round. More of the same for Amorim here.

Miguel Jacob (-170) Vs AJ Nichols (+130)

This Lightweight bout looks set to be a good one that will go the distance. Jacob comes into this one looking to maintain hos perfect record, which currently sits at 4-0. Each of those fights have gone the distance. Nichols is 6-2-1 and has bounced back nicely after his first career loss, winning 2 in a row since then. I’m not so sure he keeps it going here, though, as I have Jacob by decision.

Jalin Fuller (+135) Vs Treston Vines (-165)

I’d be very surprised if this Welterweight bout went the distance, as both of these fighters can pack some power. Fuller is 4-0 and has won each of his last 3 fights without going beyond the second round. It has been much the same story for Vines, who is also 4-0, with all 4 of his victories coming inside the first 2 rounds. I think Fuller ends this one early.

Anthony Kalani (-175) Vs Tee Cummins (+135)

The Light Heavyweights are up for the final fight of the night, with both of these men sporting unbeaten records. Kalani is a perfect 5-0 and had made it look easy, winning all but one of his fights within the distance. Cummins is 2-0 and has made short work of the competition, too, but I think he is in for a much tougher time of it here. I like Kalani to win by KO.
