Favored Johnny Walker will put away the bottle of scotch just long enough to take on tough Paul Craig. Okay. That was a bad joke but, hey, we must write them where we see them.

Walker is a tough fighter. Johnny had lost 3-of-5 before submitting Ion Cutelaba at UFC 279 in his last. Walker hopes the win will got him back on the right track.

Craig was on a 4-match winning streak before losing his last bout. The fighter who beat Craig, Volkan Oezdemir, wasn’t in good form, which might explain why Walker is such a big favorite. Still, Craig is 13-1 via submission wins. So if this goes to the ground, which it should, Paul might have an edge.

Lauren Murphy +358 vs Jessica Andrade -526

No disrespect to Lauren Murphy. The big time underdog in this is in decent form. Murphy has won 4-of-5 with the only loss happening in a title fight versus Valentina Schevchenko.

But on Saturday night, Lauren takes on a monster in Jessica Andrade. The favorite has won 3-of-4. Like Murphy, Andrade’s last loss came aginast Schevchenko.

Jessica has won 2 straight, beating Cynthia Calvillo via knockout and besting Amanda Lemos via submission. Andrade wins.

Gilbert Burns -500 vs Neil Magny +335

On paper, Magny should have a shot. But he might not. The problem for Neil is that although he’s fighting well, he’s just 4-5 via submission wins.

On Jan. 21, Magny faces 20-5 Gilbert Burns who is 6-2 via KO or TKO and 8-0 via submissions. If this fight goes to the ground, forget it. Burns wins.

Also, even though Gilbert has lost 2 of his last 3, the losses came against 12-0 Khamzat Chimaev and the great Kamaru Usman. The favorite takes this.

Deiveson Figueiredo -102 vs Brandon Moreno -125 | UFC Flyweight Title Fight

Figueiredo and Moreno throw down for the fourth straight time. The first bout ended in a draw.

Moreno submitted Figueiredo to take the title in the rematch. Figueiredo beat Moreno via decision in the third bout to regain the title.

What will happen in the fourth bout? Brandon should have made enough adjustments to surprise Deiveson. So, yes, the UFC Flyweight strap will again change hands.

Glover Teixeira +111 vs Jamahal Hill -140 | UFC Light Heavyweight Title Fight

MMA handicappers are giving the champ way too much credit. Prochazka submitted Glover in Teixeira’s last. The only reason the 43-year-old is the champ is because Prochazka vacated his belt.

No doubt, Teixeira will fight hard. But Jamahal Hill should win this. The challenger has a 2-inch height and 3-inch reach advantage. He’s won 4-of-5 and both of his bouts in 2022.

Hill is 7-1 in TKO/KO victories and has an 11-1 record overall. Jamahal is also much younger than Teixeira. Back the challenger to cash.
