Washington holds a 68-35-4 record in the all-time series against Oregon State, having broken a nine-game win streak in 2021. UW has won 26 of the last 35 meetings and 36 of the last 46, dating back to 1975. The series against the Beavers is the second-longest (to Stanford) active series in Washington football history in terms of years and third-longest in terms of total meetings (to Oregon and WSU). Last year, the Huskies won 24-21 at home as Peyton Henry made a 22-yard field goal with 8 seconds left to cap a 92-yard scoring drive. The Huskies took over at their own 3 with 4:33 left and QB Michael Penix led the march downfield against the Beavers’ stingy defense. Penix was 9 of 13 for 66 yards on the drive.
Why Bet on Washington?
The Huskies are 10-0 and 7-0 in conference play and are sitting in good shape at the top of the conference. A win over Oregon State this week or a win over Washington State next week would clinch a berth in the conference title game in Las Vegas for the Huskies.
Washington comes off a 35-28 home win over No. 18 Utah. Quarterback and Heisman candidate Michael Penix Jr. threw for two touchdowns and ran for another, and No. 5 Washington pitched a shutout in the second half to rally for the victory. Penix hit Rome Odunze on both of his touchdown throws, and ran for a two-yard TD in the first quarter. Penix was 24 of 42 passing for 332 yards.
Odunze notched the sixth 100-yard receiving game of the season, finishing the game with three catches for 111 yards, and two touchdowns. For the season, Odunze now has 1,100 yards, seventh in UW history. Odunze also became the seventh Husky ever to catch 20 or more TD passes, with 20 in total. Odunze, who had 1,114 receiving yards in 2022, is the only Husky other than Reggie Williams to record multiple 1,000-yard seasons during his college career. Williams did it three times (2001-03). Only eight different Huskies ever have reached 1,000 yards receiving in a season.
UW running back Dillon Johnson rushed for 104 yards, his third 100-yard game of the season, and in his career (including three seasons at Mississippi State). All three of his 100-yard games have come over the last five UW games (Oregon, USC, Utah).
Washington has notched 71 scrimmage plays of 20 or more yards over its first 10 games, the third-highest total in the nation. UW is also No. 3 in the nation with 35 plays of 30 yards or more. Those totals include 57 passes of 20 or more yards, and 27 of 30 or more, from Penix Jr. Those totals are No. 2 and 3 in the nation. Penix also leads FBS with 141 completions of 10 yards or more, 20 more than the next closest QB.
The Huskies extended the second-longest active win streak in the nation to 17 games and reached 10-0 for only the second time in school history. The only other time came in 1991, when the Huskies claimed a share of the national title with Miami.
Washington is No. 2 in the nation in punt return defense, having allowed minus-1 yards in returns over the season. UW is also No. 6 in FBS in kick return defense (14.7 yds. per return), while kicker Grady Gross is No. 18 in field-goal percentage.

Why Bet on Oregon State?
Oregon State (8-2, 5-2) needs to upset Washington this week and Oregon next week to earn its ticket to the Pac-12 title game but it also needs Arizona to lose a game. While a longshot, Arizona (7-3, 5-2) could still get into the title game by beating Utah this week and Arizona State next week and having Oregon State beat Washington, but lose to Oregon. Arizona would also need UCLA to beat USC.
OSU won its second in a row Saturday, routing Stanford 62-17. Four first half touchdown runs by Damien Martinez – from 7, 59, 15 and 5 yards – helped propel a humming Oregon State offense to the resounding victory. Deshaun Fenwick and Aidan Chiles also added scores on the ground while DJ Uiagalelei tossed two scores and threw for 240 yards.
Martinez tied an Oregon State single-game record with four touchdown rushes. His previous high was three against Colorado last season. He is the first Beaver with four since Jermar Jefferson in 2018 against Washington State. Martinez finished with 146 yards rushing, giving him 1,024 for his career. His is the 18th 1,000-yard rushing season in Oregon State history. Martinez also became the 13th player in school history to surpass 2,000 for his career. He now has 2,006.
Oregon State totaled 598 yards, a season-high. The Beavers surpassed 60 points for just the third time in conference play since 1980. All three instances have been at Reser Stadium. Oregon State’s 62 points marked the most ever against Stanford. The 45-point win marked the biggest margin of victory against the Cardinal, surpassing a 43-3 win in 2003.
Calvin Hart Jr. led the defense with 7.0 total tackles with a trio of solo stops and 2.5 tackles for loss. Akili Arnold and Easton Mascarenas-Arnold each tallied six stops while Kitan Oladapo had a team-best two interceptions. Andrew Chatfield helped the effort with an interception and forced a Cardinal fumble.
Scoring nine touchdowns on their 13 drives and punting just twice, the Beavers churned through the Cardinal defense with 8.8 yards per play and moved the chains 29 times.
Oregon State is ranked 10th in both the Associated Press Top 25 and Coaches Poll. It’s the first time the Beavers find themselves in the top-10 per the AP since 2012 when reaching as high as No. 7. Saturday’s meeting between the teams will be the first for OSU with both teams in the top-10 since the then-No. 5 Beavers defeated No. 10 Notre Dame, 41-9, in the 2001 Fiesta Bowl. It’s the first regular season top-10 matchup since No. 5 Oregon State defeated No. 8 Oregon, 23-13, on Nov. 18, 2000 in Corvallis.
OSU has nine straight wins at home, the longest since 1999-2000. It’s also tied for the sixth-longest active streak nationally. We think that gets to 10.
