It’s Week 10 of the College Football season, and after some interesting games last weekend, we’re ready for another week of great action. In taking a look at this week’s slate of games, we’ve found a couple of teams that we’re going to deem our “sure losers” of the College Football Betting week. In looking at their spreads and their opponents, we don’t think things are going to go well for them.
Who Will Be the Big Losers In Week 10 of the 2022 College Football Season?
Kentucky Wildcats (-2.5) @ Missouri Tigers
Kentucky will be happy to be anywhere but Knoxville, Tennessee. The Volunteers imposed their will on the Wildcats and embarrassed them by a score of 44-6. Will Levis threw for less than 100 yards, had -22 yards rushing, and the Wildcats could only muster 205 yards of total offense.
Missouri had a little better weekend than Kentucky did. Missouri traveled to Columbia, South Carolina, and upset the South Carolina Gamecocks by a score of 23-10. The Mizzou defense played well, holding South Carolina to just 205 yards of offense.
Missouri will return home with a 4-4 record and will host a Kentucky team that has lost two straight. The oddsmakers have made Kentucky a 2.5-point favorite. We expect a little bit of a letdown from Missouri after coming off of a huge victory over South Carolina. We think that Kentucky is the better squad, and they’ll win this one by a touchdown, thus making Missouri one of our “sure losers” of the week.
Ohio State Buckeyes (-36.5) @ Northwestern Wildcats
Northwestern hasn’t won a game on U.S soil in over a year. Yes, they did beat Nebraska earlier this season, but it was in Ireland. Now the Wildcats get to host one of the best teams in the country the Ohio State Buckeyes. Ohio State is coming off of an emotional win at Penn State last Saturday. The Nittany Lions gave the Buckeyes everything they wanted and more, but Ohio State pulled away and left Happy Valley with a victory.
Northwestern is coming off a 33-13 loss to the Iowa Hawkeyes on Saturday. The 1-7 Wildcats were limited to just 38 yards of rushing. The bad thing about this loss was that they gave up 398 yards of offense and 33 points to one of the worst offenses in the country.
While we know that 36.5 points is a lot of points, we just wonder what the Ohio State Buckeyes offense will be able to do to the Northwestern defense if Iowa was able to put up 33 points. CJ Stroud is one of the leading Heisman candidates, and he has arguably the best group of receivers in the country surrounding him. We know that the Buckeyes pass catchers are a little banged up, but they should still be able to put up some huge numbers on the weak Northwestern secondary.
Northwestern is going to be one of our “sure losers” of the week. They’re not going to be able to stop the Ohio State offense, and they’re going to end up getting beat by at least 40 points.
