CFL Week 10 Games Odds, Preview & Picks

Wednesday, October 6: Ottawa RedBlacks at Toronto Argonauts

The RedBlacks got a big win last week, getting rid of a five-game losing streak in Caleb Evans first CFL start at quarterback. Evans did a decent job in the passing game and used his legs as well as Ottawa finally showed life on offense.

This time, however, Ottawa will be tasked with going up against a really loaded Argos defense. Toronto is coming off a bye week and is a well-rested team that I project to be in the East Final when all things are said and done. Check out the Week 10 preview along with CFL odds and free picks!

At home, take the Argos to win by double digits.

Friday, October 8: Edmonton Elks at Winnipeg Blue Bombers

Despite Trevor Harris’ absence last week, the offense wasn’t the issue for the Elks. Backup Taylor Cornelius still threw for 300+ yards and three touchdowns and running back James Wilder Jr. averaged 6.4 yards on the ground.

Edmonton’s defense let them down massively, however, allowing 34 points. They now face a Winnipeg team that is dominant defensively and is coming off their best offensive performance of the season. Blue Bombers QB Zach Collaros Is coming off the best performance of his career, and it should translate over to this week against the Elks. Take Winnipeg to win in the biggest blowout of the week.

Saturday, October 9: Calgary Stampeders at Saskatchewan Roughriders

Despite throwing for less than 200 yards including an interception, Bo-Levi Mitchell and the Stampeders defeated the Riders last week at home 23-17, and square off in a rematch on Saturday.

This time, the game will be in Saskatchewan which arguably has the best home-field advantage in the CFL. The Raiders’ defense has been fantastic all year long but needs more out of Cody Fajardo and the offense. Fajardo didn’t throw a single touchdown last week and needs to convert in the red zone this time around.

In the CFL, settling for field goals proves costly more often than not. Look for the Riders to get in the endzone a few times this week and execute better in front of their home fans.

Monday, October 11: Ottawa RedBlacks at Montreal Alouettes

The RedBlacks have a stingy defense, and Caleb Evans should have an easy time going from facing Toronto to a below-average Montreal defense.

Albeit a short turnaround, Ottawa upsets the Alouettes on the road. Vernon Adams Jr. has been shaky at quarterback all season long and has turned the ball over way too many times in 2021.

Monday, October 11: Toronto Argonauts at Hamilton Tiger-Cats

On a short week following a game midweek against Ottawa, the Argos are at a huge disadvantage having to go to Hamilton and play them so quickly. The Ticats are the best team in the East Division, and Jeremiah Masoli and Brandon Banks are fully healthy.

Based on preparation, Hamilton wins this one by default.
