Trying to predict how the final four will look in college football is proving to be a bit of a nightmare. We are consistently seeing the top teams fall week after week, with the Iowa Hawkeyes the latest to go down this past weekend. It is the Georgia Bulldogs who are currently setting the standard, but they will be sitting Week 8 out, as it is their bye week. While the #1 team in the nation gets a week off, the rest of the chasing pack will be in action and trying to stay the course for a playoff spot. Week 7 was arguably our worst of the season in terms of picks, so we are looking to get back to winning ways, starting with out college football Week 8 straight up picks. We are 16-5 SU on the season to this point, so let’s keep it rolling for you to continue betting against the NCAAF odds.
College Football SU Picks for Week 8 to Bet On
Texas Tech Red Raiders over Kansas State Wildcats
There is still a lot of football to be played, but for now, it looks as though Oklahoma and Oklahoma State are destined to meet in the conference championship game. There are, though, a couple of other teams who will have something to say about that in the final weeks of the season. The two teams taking part in this one are not part of that equation, and right now, it’s all about securing as good a bowl game as possible. Texas Tech are 5-2 on the season, but they have managed to go just 2-2 in conference play. Disappointing, but not as bad as the Wildcats, who are 0-3 in conference play. This is a matchup that Kansas State has dominated, winning 9 of the last 10, but I think they are in trouble here.
Wake Forest Demon Deacons over Army Black Knights
If you had picked anyone other than Clemson to be sitting atop the Atlantic Division in the ACC after 7 weeks of football, you would certainly be braver than most. That, though, is exactly where we are, as it is the Wake Forest Demon Deacons who are on top after starting the season 6-0 (4-0 in conference play). To maintain that unbeaten record, they will need to go on the road this weekend for a tricky matchup against the Army Black Knights. On the positive side of things, Wake Forest has won 6 of their last 7 meetings with Army, but the Black Knights are on a run that has seen them win 11 straight at home. A close one here, but I am on Wake Forest to get the job done.
Oregon Ducks over UCLA Bruins
It has been a while now since we have seen a PAC 12 team make the playoffs, and the way things are going this season, it looks like the drought might continue. The Oregon Ducks looked like the best bet to break that conference slump, but a surprise loss to Stanford dropped them out of the top 4. The Ducks still have control of the PAC 12 North Division, but it is a tight battle that will not allow for any more slip ups. This weekend, they will be on the road to face a UCLA Bruins team that has won 2 in a row to get to 5-2 on the season. The Bruins, though, have struggled against Oregon and have managed just 1 win in the last 9 meetings.
