Top WNBA Betting Picks of the Week – June 10th Edition

Written by on June 10, 2019

With the 2019 WNBA season heating up as it heads into its third week of action, now is a great time to look at the most value-packed matchups on the schedule for this week’s coming action. Thankfully, I’ve got a trio of expert WNBA betting picks that are sure to please.  Let’s get to them right now.

Top WNBA Betting Picks of the Week – June 10th Edition

Indiana Fever (3-2) at Dallas Wings (0-4)

  • When: Thursday, June 13 at 8:00 PM ET
  • Where: College Park Center, Arlington, TX

Analysis: Indiana had their modest two-game winning streak snapped in Sunday’s 94-87 home loss against Phoenix. The Fever allowed Brittney Griner to score a game-high 26 points while falling into a 53-28 halftime deficit they would never overcome. Kelsey Mitchell hit four 3-pointers and had 26 points for the Fever while Kennedy Burke went 4 of 4 from distance and added 18 points in the loss.

Dallas remained winless by falling to Washington 86-62 on Sunday despite jumping out to a 20-15 lead after one quarter. Glory Johnson led Dallas with 15 points but only had 11 in the second half. Imani McGee-Stafford added 11 points in the loss.

Prediction

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that Dallas is struggling and in real trouble against an Indiana team that is ranked second to Washington in scoring (83.2 ppg). The Wings are averaging just 66.3 points per game while giving up 77.8 points per contest defensively. Keep it simple and back Indiana to get the double-digit win despite being on the road.

WNBA Betting Pick: Indiana 85 Dallas 70

Connecticut Sun (5-1) at Minnesota Lynx (4-2)

  • When: Friday, June 14 at 8:00 PM ET
  • Where: target Center, Minneapolis, MN

Analysis: Connecticut has won three straight including a hard-fought 65-59 road win over Atlanta on Sunday as Jonquel Jones had 17 points and 13 rebounds and Alyssa Thomas added a double-double.

Minnesota has lost to of its last three including a narrow, 89-85 home loss against Los Angeles on Saturday despite getting 20 points and 13 rebounds from perennial all-star Sylvia Fowles.

Prediction

I know Connecticut is on a nice roll and that they are playing solid basketball at both ends of the floor, but I’m going with Minnesota because they’re playing at home and still have a bunch of elite talent, starting with Sylvia Fowles. I’m going with Minnesota to get back in the win column after L.A. spoiled their tribute to former franchise icon Lindsay Whalen this past weekend. This one should be a thriller, but Minnesota narrowly escapes.

WNBA Betting Pick: Minnesota 75 Connecticut 73

New York Liberty (1-4) at L.A. Sparks (3-2)

  • When: Saturday, June 15 at 10:00 PM ET
  • Where: Staples Center, Los Angeles, CA

Analysis: New York picked up its first win of the season by smacking Las Vegas around en route to an 88-78 win over the Aces on Sunday. The Liberty actually snapped a pitiful 17-game losing streak that dated back to last season as Tina Charles scored 21 points and Bria Hartley added 17 points in the win.

Los Angeles has won three of four including a hard-fought 89-85 road win over Minnesota on Saturday as Riquna Williams scored a team-high 25 points off the bench and Chelsea Gray added 21 points in the thrilling win.

Prediction

This weekend matchup doesn’t require much thinking at all as Los Angeles is by far, the better team in this pairing. The Sparks are allowing 1.8 points per game more than they average this season (78.2 ppg), but New York is -4 in the scoring department. While New York averages more points per game than L.A., the Liberty are also next to last in points allowed (84.6 ppg). Keep it simple WNBA betting buffs. Los Angeles manages to take care of business at home to get the W.

WNBA Betting Pick: Los Angeles 82 New York 77
