Two of the league’s top three teams will be on the floor looking to cement their respective playoff hopes when the Las Vegas Aces host the Phoenix Mercury on Tuesday and the Washington Mystics hit the road for a Friday night date in the Windy City. With approximately three weeks remaining in the the 2019 WNBA regular season, it’s time to take a look at three of the most value-packed WNBA betting matchups on this week’s coming slate of action.

Top WNBA Betting Picks of the Week – August 12th

Phoenix Mercury (13-13) at Las Vegas Aces (18-9)

  • When: Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at 10:00 PM ET
  • Where: Mandalay Bay Event Center, Las Vegas, NV

Phoenix has won two straight including a hard-fought 78-72 win over New York on Sunday. DeWanna Bonner scored 17 of her game-high 30 points in the final period while adding 10 rebounds in the win to extend New York’s losing streak to eight games. Las Vegas has won three straight and comes into this contest off an emphatic 100-85 smackdown over Chicago on Sunday night as A’ja Wilson came back from a nine-game absence to score a team-high 25 points off the bench. Fellow star Liz Cambage added 23 points and 10 rebounds in the win.

Prediction

Las Vegas is a stellar 11-4 at home while Phoenix is an awful 4-9 on the road this season. The Aces just got back a perennial all-star in A’Ja Wilson and Phoenix is a jumbled mess right now despite winning two straight. I wouldn’t think very hard about this one. The Aces are too tough to beat at home here!

WNBA Betting Pick: Las Vegas 82 Phoenix 77

Dallas Wings (9-18) at Minnesota Lynx (13-14)

  • When: Thursday, August 22, 2019 at 8:00 PM ET
  • Where: Target Center, Minneapolis, MN

Dallas had their three-game winning streak snapped in their 78-68 loss to Connecticut despite getting a career-high 22 points from Allisha Gray. Minnesota has lost two straight including their 82-74 loss against Seattle on Sunday night despite getting a season-high 30 points from Odyssey Sims.

Prediction

With Dallas going a pitiful 1-12 on the road this season, the Minnesota Lynx are the easy pick in this one despite the fact that the Lynx are just 7-6 on their home floor this season. Dallas is tied for a league-low 70.7 points per game while allowing 75.1 points per contest defensively. With Minnesota desperate to hold on to their standing as the eighth and final playoff team, the Lynx will be highly motivated in this one!

Pick: Minnesota 77 Dallas 73

  • When: Friday, August 23, 2019 at 8:00 PM ET
  • Where: Wintrust Arena, Chicago, IL

Washington is sitting atop the WNBA standings and they hit the new week on fire, having won six straight games including a huge, 107-68 blowout of Indiana on Sunday that saw all-star forward Elena Delle Donne score a team-high 25 points and the Mystics drain a record, 18 three-pointers in the dominating win. Chicago has lost two of its last three including a humbling 100-85 loss against Las Vegas on Sunday night despite getting career highs in scoring (28 points) and three-pointers (5) from point guard Diamond DeShields.
