WNBA Betting Picks of the Week – June 21st Edition

Connecticut (7-4) at Atlanta (6-5) at 7:00 PM ET

Analysis: Connecticut has lost three straight despite averaging a league-high 90.5 points per game. Still, I’m going to say the Sun are the pick to get by an Atlanta Dream team (no pun intended) that is giving up 3.7 points per game more than they average (73.8 ppg).

WNBA Betting Pick: Connecticut 87 Atlanta 82

Los Angeles (8-2) at Dallas (5-4) at 8:00 PM ET

Analysis: The Los Angeles Sparks enter the new week riding a three-game winning streak while the Dallas Wings come into the week off a 77-67 win over the mostly inexperienced Las Vegas Aces. Despite being on the road, L.A. and their balanced team featuring four double-digit scorers, are the easy pick to win this matchup.

WNBA Betting Pick: L.A. 80 Dallas 75

Washington (6-5) at Chicago (3-7) at 9:00 PM ET

TV: ESPN3

Analysis: The Washington Mystics took a loss the last time they stepped on the court and they’re also giving up 1.3 points per game more than they average (83.5 ppg). Still though, the team residing in the nation’s capitol is the pick to get the road win over a Chicago squad that is giving up a whopping 8.8 points per game more than they average (77.8 ppg).

WNBA Betting Pick: Washington 83 Chicago 77

New York (3-6) at Las Vegas (3-9) at 10:00 PM ET

Is New York a safe WNBA betting pick on Friday?

TV: ESPN2

Analysis: New York and Las Vegas have both dropped two straight heading into the new week. However, the Aces are next to last in points allowed at 86.1 points per game and have a scoring differential of -6.3 that is second only to Chicago’s -8.8. New York wins, but its going to be a lot closer than expected.

WNBA Betting Pick: New York 81 Las Vegas 78

Minnesota (4-6) at Phoenix (10-3) at 10:00 PM ET

TV: ESPN3

Analysis: The defending champion Minnesota Lynx have struggled all season long and are allowing more points per game (79.5 ppg) than they are average this season (78.4 ppg). That doesn’t bode well going into a matchup against a Phoenix Mercury team that has won eight straight at the time of this writing. Phoenix is getting 20.4 points per game from Brittney Griner and 20.2 per night from Diana Taurasi and will be looking to improve on their modest 4-2 home mark and guess what? They will.

WNBA Betting Pick: Phoenix 82 Minnesota 77

Indiana (1-10) at Seattle (8-3) at 10:00 PM ET

TV: ESPN3

Analysis: The Indiana Fever are a winless 0-4 on the road and have the worst record in the entire WNBA. Seattle is second in scoring (90.2 ppg) and has three players, led by former UConn star Breanna Stewart (21.5 ppg) averaging double figures in scoring. This one will be a blowout.

WNBA Betting Pick: Seattle 92 Indiana 79
