WNBA Betting: Top Games with the Most Attractive Odds This Week

One of the things that have frequently changed in the life of the WNBA is the number of games that each team needs to play in the regular season.

With the league growing in a number of different ways, the 2024 season will see each team play 40 games.

My Analysis

We are not that far into the new season, so while there is still plenty of time for things to change, we are seeing a couple of teams start to pull away from the pack in the early going. There are a ton of big games coming our way this week, so let’s look at the next 5 days and pick one from each day to keep an eye on.

Dallas Wings at Minnesota Lynx

Monday, June 17, 8:00 PM | There is only one game on the Monday schedule, and it looks like a very lopsided matchup. To say that it has been a rough start to the season for the wings is putting things rather mildly, as they only have 3 wins through their first 12 games, although 2 of those victories came on the road.

On the flip side, the Lynx are 1 of only 3 teams to have hot double-digit wins in then early going. They are 10-3 overall and 6-1 at home, so it would be no surprise to see them win again here.

New York Liberty at Phoenix Mercury

Tuesday, June 18, 10:00 PM, CBSSN | The Liberty are about as hot as it gets right now, coming into the new week on an 8-game winning streak. They are just a half game out of first overall and will be looking to take the top spot.

They will have a tough go of it here, though, as the Mercury are 5-2 in their own building, although their poor road schedule has them sitting at 7-7 overall. The Liberty are an impressive 6-1 on the road.

Seattle Storm at Las Vegas Aces

Wednesday, June 19, 10:00 PM, NBA TV | As it stands at the moment, both of these teams are in playoff spots, but it is the Storm who are 2 games up on the Aces. Seattle is in the #4 slot, and while they are coming off a loss to end last week, they have won 8 of their last 10.

The Aces have been playing .500 ball this season but have been better on the road than at home, which could be a problem here.

Dallas Wings at Chicago Sky

Thursday, June 20, 12:00 PM | Both of these teams are currently sitting below the playoff cut line, and while there is time for that to change, both teams will not want to drift too far from the top 8. The Sky are essentially tied for the final spot, but they are spiraling and on a 4-game losing skid.

While the Wings are second from bottom, they are just a half game back of Chicago and could make a move with a win in their own building, which they have managed just once in 6 attempts.

Indiana Fever at Atlanta Dream

Friday, June 21, 7:30 PM, ION | Much of the buzz in the WNBA this season has been about the arrival of Caitlin Clark, so we can’t do a preview without including her team, the Indiana Fever, who are currently clinging to a playoff spot right now.

The Fever have won 2 in a row, and they will certainly feel that they can beat an Atlanta team that has a losing record in their own building this season. The Fever are 2 ½ back of the Dream right now, so a win here would help tighten things up.
