WNBA Odds & Picks – Top Games Of The Week Highlights

Written by on August 3, 2020

We are now 4 games into the season in the WNBA and one of the first things that jumps out when you look at the standings is that no team has been able to go unbeaten. There are, though, a couple of teams who are still looking for their first win of the season. On the whole, the standings are tight at the moment, but you would certainly expect the better teams in the league to start opening things up once we get through another couple of weeks of play. As always, we have a rather full schedule coming this week, which means that there are a lot of games to wager on. We are going to take a look at the best games on the schedule and make some picks along the way, so let’s get right to it so you can start making your bets against their WNBA odds.

WNBA Games of the week – Highlights, Top Picks, Odds

Phoenix Mercury Vs Atlanta Dream – Tuesday

Both of these teams have had very similar starts to the season, going 2-2 through their opening 4 games. It is Phoenix, though, who come into this game on the better run of form, as they have now won back to back games after losing their opening 2 matchups. Atlanta has been a bit of a Jekyll and Hyde team in the early going and have been on a win one, lose one run from the start. The edge here has to go to the Phoenix Mercury, as they are on a run that has seen them win each of their last 4 games against the Dream.

  • Pick: Phoenix Mercury 77 Atlanta Dream 71

Las Vegas Aces Vs Washington Mystics – Wednesday

The Washington Mystics have appeared in the last 2 WNBA Finals, and they came out on top last season. With that in mind, you would expect Washington to be one of the favorites again this season, and they have certainly come out that way, getting off to a 3-1 start to the season. They have won both home games to this point, so that goes in their favor. The Las Vegas Aces are in a group of teams that have started at 2-2, so they will be looking to climb above .500 here. Easier said than done, though, when you consider that the Mystics have won 3 of the last 4 meetings.

  • Pick: Las Vegas Aces 88 Washington Mystics 93

Connecticut Sun Vs Dallas Wings – Thursday

If you want to see the difference between the Eastern and Western Conference in the early going just look at this matchup. Connecticut is 0-4 and second bottom in the East, while Dallas is propping up the Western Conference despite going 2-2 to start the season. It has been the Sun who have had the best of this matchup of late, winning each of the last 2 meetings. That said, they are going against a Dallas team that has been strong at home, going 2-0 to start the season, so I think the Sun are looking at yet another loss.

  • Pick: Connecticut Sun 74 Dallas Wings 78

Indiana Fever Vs Minnesota Lynx – Friday

Over the past 8 seasons, the Minnesota Lynx have been one of the best teams in the WNBA, winning 4 titles in that time. They have failed to make it to the final in the last 2 seasons, though, but they are off to a strong start this season, going 3-1. Indiana are sitting right behind them in the East with a 2-2 record, but it is worth noting that both of their losses have come on the road. Minnesota has dominated this series and have won 4 of the last 5.

  • Pick: Indiana Fever 76 Minnesota Lynx 83
