After the huge success of AEW’s Double or Nothing, WWE needs a bang from Stomping Grounds, a pay per view event presented for the first time ever. As usual, the kick off show will begin one hour prior to the main card action (7 p.m. ET), which is full of rematches.
Besides the fact that Alexa Bliss and Dolph Ziggler return to the big stage with a title opportunity on the line, Stomping Grounds match card doesn’t offer many surprises. Let’s take a look while making some WWE betting predictions.
2019 WWE Stomping Grounds Odds, Preview & Picks
- When: Sunday, June 23rd
- Where: Tacoma Dome, Washington
- Brands: Raw, SmackDown, 205 Live
- Live Stream: WWE Network
Seth Rollins vs Baron Corbin
- 2019 WWE Stomping Ground Odds: Rollins -230 / Corbin +170
Baron Corbin is the perfect heel absolutely nobody likes him. Meanwhile, Seth Rollins regained some territory as the company’s face after beating Brock Lesnar to become the Universal Champion. Corbin looks more like sparring for Rollins while a more worthy opponent appears, but there’s a catch as Corbin can select a special guest referee, and don’t forget that Brock Lesnar can appear at any moment to cash in his Money in the Bank contract. Take the Architect to beat Corbin.
Becky Lynch vs Lacey Evans
- 2019 WWE Stomping Ground Odds: Lynch -200 / Evans +160
Becky ‘One Belt’ left behind Charlotte Flair but Lacey Evans appear to drive The Man mad. The two faced each other at Money in the Bank and Lynch came on top but Evans became a huge factor for The Man to lose the SmackDown title. Lynch has momentum, and sales, on her side, right now is tough to imagine her without a belt.
Kofi Kingston vs Dolph Ziggler
- 2019 WWE Stomping Ground Odds: Kingston -1300 / Ziggler +700
Kofi-Mania keeps on rolling. The New Day member has established as a solid WWE Champion but defending his title in a Cage Match against a renewed Dolph Ziggler might be the biggest threat to his reign so far. Nevertheless, Kofi’s one of the WWE Universe favorites and Vince doesn’t want angry exploding fans right now.
Roman Reigns vs Drew McIntyre
- 2019 WWE Stomping Ground Odds: Reigns -180 / McIntyre +160
With something on the line, this match could be great, but the feud against McIntyre is just one more step in the ‘Get back Roman to the top program’. Reigns and the WWE Universe are getting along because the company is not pushing The Big Dog as hard as it used to, but there’s no doubt that sooner or later Reigns will be fighting for a title and beating McIntyre makes sooner more likely.
Bailey vs Alexa Bliss
- 2019 WWE Stomping Ground Odds: Bailey -500 / Bliss +300
Upset alert! Bailey was sent to SmackDown after the Sasha Banks meltdown, but the reigning champ is not a great one, and with Alexa Bliss fully recovered the title might return to the Goddess (with Nikki Cross help) for a future feud against Charlotte. Just imagine the trash talk between those two, pure gold.
Samoa Joe vs Ricochet
- 2019 WWE Stomping Ground Odds: Joe -165 / Ricochet +125
Nobody seems to care about the United States championship anymore, but this is a huge opportunity for Ricochet to establish himself as a solid solo performer. Joe is the favorite based on the pounds differential but his character is losing the spark that WWE needs right now.
Daniel Bryan & Rowan vs Heavy Machinery
- 2019 WWE Stomping Ground Odds: Daniel Bryan & Rowan -480 / Heavy Machinery +320
Like it or not Daniel Bryan is one of the best performers in WWE, both on and off the ring, that’s why he needs to hold at least one belt, and the chemistry with Rowan is good enough to extend their reign as SmackDown Tag Team champions. Heavy Machinery time will come, but not on Sunday.
Big E & Xavier Woods vs Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn
- 2019 WWE Stomping Ground Odds: Big E & Woods +130 / Owens & Zayn -160
The team of Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn drive the WWE Universe crazy and that’s why they need to stay together. Beating a decimated New Day might become their green light to aim for the tag team belts.
