CFL Week 13 Odds & Predictions

Friday, Sep 7

Ottawa RedBlacks +2 at British Columbia Lions -2

The RedBlacks, a preseason Grey Cup contender, has fallen on hard times. Ottawa is a bad 1-3 ATS in their last 4 games. What’s worse is that Montreal, the worst team in the CFL, upset Ottawa 21-11 in the RedBlacks’ last game. British Columbia has lost 2 in a row. They’ve also gone 0-2 ATS in their last couple of games. The Lions are 2-1 SU in their 3 home games this season. BC barely lost to Ottawa, 25-29, in Ottawa on July 20. This Friday, the Lions should turn the tables on the RedBlacks. CFL Week 13 Pick: British Columbia Lions -2

Saturday, Sep 8

Hamilton Tiger-Cats -5.5 at Toronto Argonauts +5.5

Hamilton’s on a mini-roll after beating Edmonton 25-24 on August 23 and beating Toronto 42-28 on September 3. The Tiger-Cats again face Toronto this Saturday. The Argonauts host Hamilton, though. Could that change the outcome of the game? Toronto did beat Ottawa 42-41 and BC 24-23 in their last couple of home games. But, neither Ottawa or BC has played as well as Hamilton in recent weeks. Not only that, but the Tiger-Cats dominated Toronto on Sep. 3. It’ hard to see what Toronto changes to be more competitive this Saturday. Again, Hamilton should win and cover. CFL Week 13 Pick: Hamilton Tiger-Cats

Saskatchewan Rough Riders +3.5 at Winnipeg Blue Bombers -3.5

Is Saskatchewan a safe bet for CFL Week 13? On Sep. 2, Saskatchewan beat Winnipeg 31-23. The Rough Riders held Blue Bombers quarterback Matt Nichols to 14 of 26, 166 yards, a TD pass, and 2 interceptions. Saskatchewan should play the same type of defense to keep Nichols in check. Winnipeg must make necessary adjustments this week to counter what the Rough Riders did on Nichols. I’m not sure the Blue Bombers, who have lost 3 straight, can do that. CFL Week 13 Pick: Saskatchewan Rough Riders

Calgary Stampeders -3 at Edmonton Eskimos +3

Calgary is 9-1 straight up. After starting the season going 4-0 ATS, though, the Stampeders have since gone 2-4 ATS. One of the ATS losses happened this past weekend when Calgary could only beat Edmonton by 3 points, 23-20. As home dogs, the Eskimos should perform well. Edmonton might not win the game, but they should cover the spread. Here’s a tip: wait until you get at least a half a point above +3 if you wish to back Edmonton ATS. So far, 75% of Canadian Football League bettors favor Calgary. So, the odds should change soon.

CFL Week 13 Pick: Edmonton Eskimos
