Formula E Betting Analysis and Prediction for the 2022 Marrakesh E-Prix

In motor sports, we are used to seeing events skip a few years here and there before returning to the schedule. That is what we are getting this weekend, with the Formula E drivers heading to Marrakesh for the first time in a few years. This is a critical race and the 10th of the season, with the battle for top spot about as tight as it gets. In fact, there are just 12 points separating first from fourth in the driver standings, and while that group is pulling away from the pack, they all know that a single bad run can have a real impact on their overall standings. It is likely to be that top 4 who are in contention to win in Marrakesh. Let’s take a look at those drivers so you can get all set to bet against their Formula E Betting Odds.

Formula E 2022 Marrakesh E-Prix Race Betting Preview

Stoffel Vandoorne

Last season, Vandoorne managed a single win and ended up finishing 9th overall. He has 1 win again this season, but he has also been consistent overall, which is why he currently sits atop the driver standings after 9 races. Besides his win, which came in Monaco, he has also delivered 4 other podium finishes, so you can certainly expect him to be among the leaders this weekend. In terms of this particular race, it was last held back in 2019, with Vandoorne finishing 15th in that one, which came in a season where he finished 2nd overall. I would expect much better out of him this time around.

Jean-Eric Vergne

With the race for top spot so tight right now, things can change quickly based on the results of a single race. Vergne is up into 2nd place overall and closing the gap after finishing 2nd last time out in Jakarta. While Vergne is still looking for his first win of the 2022 season, there are few drivers who have been as consistent as he has been, Vergne has 5 podium finishes through the opening 9 races and has yet to finish outside the top 10 in any race. There is reason to believe he might be in that mix again this week, as he landed in 3rd in Marrakesh the last time he raced there.

Edoardo Mortara

Where it not for back-to-back races earlier in the season where he was forced to retire, Mortara would more than likely be sitting atop the driver standings right now. As it is, he is done in 3rd, albeit just 7 points out of the top spot. He has been able to hang in there because he already has a pair of wins on the season, and he is now on a roll where he has landed on the podium in 3 straight races. That in itself is reason to wager in him to win here, although he finished 5th in his last run in Marrakesh.

Mitch Evans

A slow start to the season is not what any driver wants, but they also know that things can change rather quickly. That has been the case with Evans, who struggled through the opening 3 races of the year before winning 3 of the last 6, including the last race in Jakarta. He has all the momentum at the moment and is closing in on the top spot, but can he keep it going in Marrakesh? He finished 6th the last time he raced on that track, but expect better this time around.
