In the grand scheme of things, the main card at Bellator 270 falls on the shorter side, with just 4 fights set to go. That said, these are a set of fights that really need to be considered a must watch. This is particularly true with the headline event, which is a title fight and a rematch that we can only hope lasts longer than their previous meeting. Outside of that one, we have 3 more fights that all look very good in their own right, so we should be looking at an entertaining set of bouts on Friday afternoon. This event is set to start at 2 PM EST, as it is being held live in Dublin, Ireland. Let’s now take a closer look at all 4 fights, with predictions for each so you can bet against their Bellator Odds.
Bellator 269 Betting Odds | MMA Analysis
Daniel Weichel (-190) Vs Pedro Carvalho (+160)
The main card begins with a Featherweight bout that features a couple of fighters desperate to get back in the win column. Weichel did manage to come up with the win last time out, but he is also on a run that has seen him lose 3 of his last 5 bouts. For Carvalho, there is the real possibility of sliding into a slump that might be tough to get out of, as he comes in on the heels of back-to-back losses. This one might well go the distance, with Weichel getting the win.
Fabien Edwards Vs Robert Fonseca
Next up is what looks to be a very good Middleweight bout, although you have to say that the pressure here is on Edwards. He saw his pro career get off to a flying start with 9 straight wins, but he has run into a bit of a wall that has seen him now lose 2 in a row. Fonseca comes into this fight with a 13-4 record and a run that has seen him win 4 of his last 5 bouts. This looks like a fight designed to get Edwards back on track, which I think he does with the win.
James Gallagher (+305) Vs Patchy Mix (-390)
It’s always interesting to see how a fighter reacts after taking their first career loss, with both of these Bantamweights bouncing back nicely. Gallagher had won his first 7 before losing, but he shook that off quickly and on now on a 4-fight winning streak. Mix won his first 13 pro fights before taking his first loss, but he bounced back with a victory last time out. I like Mix to extend his winning run with the submission victory here.
Peter Queally (+195) Vs Patricky Pitbull (-245)
It’s a rematch bout, only this time, one of these guys will walk away with the vacant Lightweight Championship. It was Queally, who is 13-5-1 overall, who won the last time out, cutting Pitbull to get the win in the 2nd round. That was the second straight loss for Pitbull, who saw his pro record fall to 23-10 in the process. I do believe that we will see this one go a bit longer, and I also believe that we will see Pitbull exact some revenge with the win.
I have read enough, I need to place my bet now. What to do?
