Bellator 275: Mousasi Vs Vanderford Betting Odds, Analysis & Picks

Bellator is heading across the pond for their next event, with Bellator 275 set to take place in Dublin, Ireland on Friday afternoon. The action begins at 1 PM EST and we have a solid 5-fight main card, which includes a title fight as the headliner. If you are looking to tune into this one, you can do so on Showtime. This is a card that is definitely one you are going to want to catch, as all 5 fights look to be of the high-quality variety. We are now going to dig a little deeper into each of the bouts on the main card, with Bellator odds and predictions included, so let’s get right to it.

Bellator 275 Betting Preview | MMA Analysis

Brian Moore (+375) Vs Jornel Lugo (-500)

We get the evening started with a Bantamweight bout that some might view as a bit of a mismatch. Moore will be a crowd favorite, but at 14-8 overall, the Irishman has had a bit of a spotty career. He is coming off a loss after winning 3 in a row, with 4 of his last 5 fights going the distance. Lugo has seen his pro career get off to a great start, as he comes into this fight with a perfect 7-0 record. He is going to have to work for this one, but I like Lugo to get the decision.

Khasan Magomedsharipov (-930) Vs Jose Sanchez (+665)

Both of these Featherweight fighters have made outstanding starts to their pro careers, but one of them comes into this bout as the clear favorite. That would be Magomedsharipov, who is a perfect 6-0, which includes a 2nd round win in his first fight under the Bellator banner. This will be the first fight with Bellator for Sanchez, who is 11-1 overall after losing his last fight. I think we see Magomedsharipov get the job done early via submission.

Ciaran Clarke (-420) Vs Abou Tounkara (+320)

The Irish fans are going to want to see one of their own get a win, and they might just get their wish granted in this Featherweight bout. Clarke is a perfect 4-0 to start his career, with all of those wins coming under the Bellator banner. He will face a tough opponent in Tounkara, who is 7-2 overall. On the downside for Tounkara is that his 2 losses have come in his last 4 fights. I like Clarke to wear his opponent down and get the win.

Leah McCourt (+115) Vs Sinead Kavanah (-135)

The co-main event of the night is an all-Irish battle that is about as evenly matched as it gets. McCourt fights out of Northern Ireland and comes into this bout with a solid 6-1 record that includes her current 6-fight win streak. Kavanagh comes into this one on the heels of a title fight loss to Cris Cyborg, where she was beaten in the opening round to fall to 7-5. She may be the favorite here, but I like McCourt to spring the mild upset.

Gegard Mousasi (-235) Vs Austin Vanderford (+190)

The headline bout of the evening is for the Bellator Middleweight Championship, with Mousasi looking to defend his belt. The champion has had a fantastic career, posting a 48-7-2 record to this point. He comes into this one on a 3-fight win streak. Vanderford is still fairly new to the pro game, but he has made an explosive start to his career, winning each of his first 11 fights. This, though, feels like a bit of a step up in class, which is why I have Mousasi keeping the belt.
