Bellator 287: Piccolotti Vs Barnaoui Betting Lines & Picks for Each Fight

With so many different MMA organizations putting together big events, it can be tough to watch and wager on them all. Sometimes, though, the stars align, and they all come out at different times, which is what is happening this coming Saturday. Bellator 287 is set to begin at 12:30 PM EST this Saturday afternoon, a full 4 hours before the start of UFC Fight Night, so hopefully you’ll get to see all of the fights before skipping over from Showtime to take in the UFC event. It’s a smaller main card in Bellator, with just 4 fights set to go. There are no title fights in the mix, but all 4 bouts are interesting in their own right. Let’s now take a moment to look at all 4 fights, with Bellator Odds and predictions for each.

Bellator 287 Betting Preview | MMA Analysis

Justin Gonzales (-303) Vs Andrew Fisher (+196)

We get the main card started with a Featherweight bout, with Gonzales in as the favorite for this one. Gonzales saw his pro career get off to a flying start, winning 12 in a row before taking his first loss. He bounced back from that to pick up the win last time out. Fisher comes into this bout on a good run of form, winning 4 in a row, with a No Contest also included in his last 5. This, though, feels like a step up and I have Gonzales winning by decision.

Saul Rogers (-454) Vs Tim Wilde (+272)

Next up is a Lightweight bout, with both fighters coming in with something of a spotty recent record. Rogers is 15-4 overall, but 2 of his losses have come in the last 5 fights as he has struggled to put together back-to-back wins. Wilde is 14-4-1 overall and is 2-1-1 in his last 4, which is by no means a terrible run of form, but he would like to get back to winning ways. That seems like too much of an ask here, though, as I like Rogers for the decision win.

Fabian Edwards (-625) Vs Charlie Ward (+338)

Next up is a Middleweight bout that you have to say looks like it could well be a one-sided affair. Edwards is in as a pretty hefty favorite here as he looks to get a new streak going. He won his first 9 pro fights before losing 2 in a row, but he did bounce back from that with a win. Ward comes in with a respectable 10-4 record and winner of 3 in a row. He looks up against it here and I like Edwards for the KO win.

Adam Piccolotti (+108) Vs Mansour Barnaoui (-156)

It seems only fitting that the most evenly matched bout of the night should also be the Lightweight headliner. Piccolotti comes in as the slight underdog here, perhaps because of his recent form, losing 2 of his last 4 fights. No such issues for Barnaoui, who has won 7 in a row to take his pro record to an impressive 19-4. I expect a good battle here, but I think Barnauoi to get the win inside the distance.
