Saturday nights were made for title fights, so you really need to be getting on to Showtime this coming weekend to take in Bellator 268. As main cards go, this is a smaller one, with just 4 fights, but they are all of the highest quality. The biggest if the lot, though, is the headliner, which is for the Bellator Featherweight Championship. It is worth noting that there are a ton of great prelim fights set to go as well, all of which can be found on YouTube, but for the purposes of this piece we are going to focus on the 4 fights on the main card. Let’s take a look at the current Bellator Odds for each of those bouts, while also making some predictions that we hope will win you some money.
Bellator 286 Betting Preview | MMA Analysis
Juan Archuleta Vs Enrique Barzola
The main card begins with a Bantamweight bout and a pair of fighters who could really use a win to get back on track. Archuleta has really been struggling of late and is coming into this bout on a 2-fight losing streak. He has now lost 3 of his last 5, but still has an impressive 25-4 record. Barzola is 18-6-2 overall and is looking to bounce back after losing his last fight. I think this one is set to go the distance, and I think it will be Archuleta with the decision win.
Aaron Pico Vs Jeremy Kennedy
Like we said earlier, there is not a bad matchup on this card, but this may well be the one that looks the most lopsided. Pico comes into this bout looking to maintain his winning streak, which is currently at 6, which has taken him to 10-3 overall. He is a huge favorite against Kennedy, who is 17-3 overall, and who is 3-1-1 over his last 5 fights. During his winning run, Pico has made a habit of getting the job done quickly, which I think he does again here.
AJ McKee Jr Vs Spike Carlyle
This Lightweight bout will serve as the co-main event of the night, and for very good reason, as these are two very good fighters. This is going to be a real test for McKee, as he is looking to recover after taking a loss, the first of his pro career, last time out, falling to 18-1 in the process. Carlyle is 14-3 overall and has been unstoppable of late, winning each of his last 5 fights. This is a fantastic matchup, but I like McKee to get the W with a submission win.
Patricio Pitbull Vs Adam Borics
A title fight is always a great way to close out an event, and this Featherweight Championship bout looks to be a beauty. After losing to McKee, Pitbull bounced back and won the rematch, snagging the belt in the process and moving to 33-5. He is going to have his hands full against Borics, who comes into this title fight with a record of 18-1 and a 4-fight win streak. I think this one goes all the way, with Pitbull holding onto the belt.
I have read enough, I need to place my bet now. What to do?
