Back in the day, you used to have to spend a small fortune to get to watch the big MMA events. Nowadays, fights are available from a variety of different sources, including YouTube and Amazon Prime. The first big event of the weekend is set to go on Friday night, with Bellator 290 delivering a pair of title fights. You can catch the prelims on YouTube, and then switch over to CBS for the main card. Speaking of that card, there are only 3 fights on it, so we will be going a little deeper with our MMA betting previews and including a couple of the better prelim bouts. Without further ado, let’s check out the betting lines for Bellator that MyBookie has to offer.
Lorenz Larkin (+162) Vs Mukhamed Berkhamov (-243)
We promised a couple of prelim bouts, so let’s get started with this Welterweight bout between a pair of experienced fighters. This is actually a rematch, as the previous meeting ended in a No Contest. Larkin comes in with a 24-7 record and a 6-fight win streak prior to the NC. Berkhamov is 15-1 and has won 12 in a row, so a pair of in form fighters here. I am on Berkhamov to win by decision.
Neiman Gracie (-312) Vs Dante Schiro (+201)
The next prelim bout features a familiar MMA family name, with Neiman Gracie coming into this one at 11-4 overall and very much in need of a win after losing 3 of his last 4 fights. It is much the same story for Schiro, who has lost 2 of his last 3 fights to fall to an overall record of 9-4. There is a bit of desperation for both men here and I think it will be Gracie who rises to the occasion and gets the win.
Sabah Homasi (-217) Vs Brennan Ward (+148)
We move into the main car with this fight, which is a Welterweight bout that looks to be pretty evenly matched. Homasi comes in as the slight favorite and with a record of 17-10. He has won 2 in a row, snapping a 2-fight losing skid. Ward has had the exact same record over his last 4 fights and has also won 2 in a row. I don’t think we see this one go the distance and I like Homasi for the KO win.
Johnny Eblen (-277) Vs Anatoly Tokov (+182)
The penultimate fight of the night looks to be a beauty, with these two fighters set to battle it out for the Middleweight Championship. Eblen comes into this one as the defending champion, bringing with him a perfect record of 12-0. He will have his hands fill with Tokov, though, as he is 31-3 overall and on a 7-0 run in Bellator. This should be a fun one, but I think the champ comes away with the decision win.
Ryan Bader (-370) Vs Fedor Emelianenko (+228)
We close the night out with what is sure to be a ferocious battle for the Heavyweight Championship and the second meeting between these fighters. Bader comes in as the champion and will be well aware that he beat his opponent in the opening round in their last meeting. That was one of only 6 career losses for Emelianenko, who is 40-6 overall. I think we see a similar outcome this time around, with Bader getting the KO win.
