Check out boxing odds, analysis, and picks for Shields versus Joanisse and Joyce versus Chisora as well as three other fantastic Saturday boxing matches.

Writer’s Boxing Picks for Five of this Weekend’s Top Boxing Matches

Raven Chapman -1200 vs Yohana Sarabia +700

Chapman versus Sarabia is a battle between two undefeated boxers.

Chapman boasts an 8-0 record with 2 stoppage wins.

Sarabia is 10-0 with 6 KO wins.

Chapman is getting the benefit of the doubt because she’s fought primarily in England while Sarabia has won all of her fights in Colombia.

Sarabia has some skills, but she might be overconfident in this.

Chapman could win via stoppage.

So consider going under if a total rounds option lands.

Boxing Odds: Raven Chapman

Ryan Garner -185 vs Archie Sharp +150

Garner versus Sharp is another bout between two undefeated boxers.

Ryan Garner is 15-0 with 8 stoppage wins.

Archie Sharp is 25-0 with 9 victories before the final bell.

Both boxers are talented, but Garner appears to have more power.

Also, Ryan has fought the better competition, beating 12-1 Juan Antunez and 13-1-1 Liam Dillon in his last two bouts.

Give the chalk the nod.

Boxing Odds: Ryan Garner

Dennis McCann -275 vs Ionut Baluta +215

London – ESPN+

Baluta offers somewhat overlaid odds considering he’s gone 16-4-1 in his career.

The Romanian also drew against Dennis McCann in the first match between these two.

McCann fought since the first match, beating Brad Strand, who was 11-0 at the time, via unanimous decision.

Baluta hasn’t fought since the bout against McCann last August.

This should go over the total rounds if there’s an option.

If not, back McCann because he’s been more active than Baluta.

Boxing Odds: Dennis McCann

Joe Joyce -475 vs Derek Chisora +350

Joe “The Juggernaut” Joyce is 16-2 with 15 knockout wins.

What you must love about Joyce is that he’s always throwing.

He throws so much that sometimes he gets caught as evidenced by his two knockout losses.

Derek “War” Chisora is 34-13 with 23 stoppage wins.

In 2022, Tyson Fury beat Chisora via tenth round technical knockout.

In his bout last year, Chisora beat Gerald Washington via unanimous decision.

Chisora can get it done, but the likelier outcome is that Joyce wins via KO or TKO.

Boxing Odds: Joe Joyce

Clarissa Shields -2500 vs Vanessa Lepage Joanisse +1200

Detroit – DAZN

Joanisse has a nice 7-1 record but she’s not close to being on the same level as Clarissa Shields.

Few women boxers are which is why Shields presents a betting conundrum.

It’s tough to back Shields at -2500.

But Shields doesn’t often win via knockout.

Use Shields in a boxing parlay, if you can, to boost payout odds.

Or if you think Joanisse has a shot, back the dog.

Boxing Odds: Claressa Shields

The boxing world is buzzing with anticipation for this weekend’s intriguing matchup between YouTube sensation Jake Paul and MMA veteran Mike Perry! Before the first bell rings, let’s delve into the fighters’ strengths, analyze the captivating betting on boxing odds, and explore some of the weekend’s other top boxing matchups!

Boxing Events: Jake Paul Throws Down Against Mike Perry
| MyBookie Boxing Analysis of the Top Weekend Bouts in July

July’s Boxing Events: Saturday, July 20th, 2024
DAZN | Las Vegas, Philadelphia

Boxing Events on July Bouts

YouTube star turned boxer Jake Paul had hoped to step into the ring versus legend Mike Tyson on July 20.

A medical issue prevented Tyson from going through with the bout, but Paul will fight on Saturday night.

Paul’s opponent, Mike Perry, isn’t as massive of an underdog as one might expect.

Also on Saturday, Nathan Heaney throws down against Brad Pauls and Solomon Dacres takes on David Adeleye.

Check out boxing odds, analysis, and free picks for five of this weekend’s top boxing matches.

Writer’s Boxing Picks for Five of this Weekend’s Top Boxing Matches

Nathan Heaney -200 vs Brad Pauls +155

Brad Pauls and Nathan Heaney are two accomplished British Middleweights.

Pauls 18-1-1 with 10 stoppage victories.

Heaney is 18-0-1 with 6 knockout wins.

These two fought in March this year. The bout ended in a split decision draw.

Heaney is more of a favorite this time around, but Pauls is the younger man by 4 years.

Not only that, Paul appears to have more power.

Give the underdog a shot to get it done.

Boxing Pick: Brad Pauls

Chantelle Cameron -1600 vs Elhem Mekhaled +750

Mekhaled versus Cameron is for a title, the WBC Interim World Super Lightweight strap.

Mekhaled, the massive +750 underdog, has a nice 17-2 record.

Since losing to Alycia Baumgardner in February 2023, Mekhaled has bounced back with wins against Yuliya Kutsenko and Eva Cantos.

Cameron is on a much higher level than either Kutsenko or Cantos.

The -1600 favorite’s only loss came in a majority decision draw versus Katie Taylor in a rematch.

Cameron has the chance to end Mekhaled’s night early.

Boxing Pick: Chantelle Cameron

Solomon Dacres -210 vs Michael Webster +165

Michael Webster has more experience than Solomon Dacres.

Webster is 10-1 with 6 stoppage wins.

Dacres boasts an 8-0 record with just 2 knockout victories.

But although Webster has more experience, Dacres is the hot boxer.

Solomon also beat Webster via majority decision in the first bout.

Also, the odds suggest Dacres wins the rematch.

But Webster will change tactics just enough to score the victory.

Boxing Pick: Michael Webster

Ashley Lane +850 vs Andrew Cain -2000

Few UK fighters have earned the respect that British boxing fans have for Ashley Lane.

The +850 underdog is 18-10-2.

Lane always fights, which is why he’s lost 6-of-10 via technical or straight up knockout.

Andrew Cain is 11-1 with 10 stoppage wins.

For sure, Cain should get the victory. The question is by what route.

Look for a KO prop or go under the total because it’s likely that Cain scores a win before the final bell.

Boxing Pick: Andrew Cain

Jake Paul -340 vs Mike Perry +250

Tampa, Florida – DAZN

This is a tune-up bout for Jake Paul.

Although the odds suggest Perry puts up a fight, and he might, Paul has already signed to take on Iron Mike in November.

Paul doesn’t lose this bout. Also, he should knock out Perry.

The odds make Jake an overlay. It’s never fun to lay -340.

In this case, it looks like easy money.

Also, if there’s a knockout prop, for sure back JP.

In his brief boxing career, Jake has shown he’s a great finisher.

Boxing Pick: Jake Paul

Fight Night Heats Up: Top Boxing Picks and Betting on Boxing Odds

Previous Betting News

The boxing world ignites this Saturday, July 13th, with a sizzling slate of fights! From welterweight title clashes to middleweight championship defenses, fight fans are in for a treat. But before the first bell rings, savvy bettors turn to the insights offered by betting on boxing odds.

Boxing Events: Ennis vs Avanesyan for the IBF Welterweight Title
| MyBookie Boxing Analysis of the Top Weekend Bouts in July

July’s Boxing Events: Saturday, July 13th, 2024
DAZN | Las Vegas, Philadelphia

Boxing Events on July Bouts

Top Boxing Events: Ennis vs Avanesyan for the IBF Welterweight Title on Saturday

Jaron Ennis takes on David Avanesyan and middleweight Janibek Alimkhanuly puts his belt on the line versus Andrei Mikhailovich in two of Saturday’s top bouts.

Boxing odds have landed for both Ennis versus Avanesyan and Alimkhanuly against Mikhailovich.

Later in the week, by Friday, odds should post for the other three fights on this blog.

Check out analysis and picks for five of boxing’s top events happening on Saturday, July 13.

Ruben Villa vs Sulaiman Segawa

Ruben Villa is likely to be the big time favorite.

Sulaiman Segawa has a decent 16-4 record, but 1 of Segawa’s losses, to Jamaine Ortiz in UFC 2020, came via stoppage.

Segawa heads into this off a unanimous decision loss against Mirco Cuello.

Villa is 22-1 with 7 stoppage wins.

Ruben’s loss was via decision, which may give him an edge in this.

Only 7 knockout victories will make it tough to back Villa to win via TKO or KO.

A decision victory is the likeliest outcome.

Boxing Pick: Ruben Villa

Raymond Muratalla vs Tevin Farmer

Muratalla and Farmer are two of the more popular boxers in the super featherweight division.

Farmer is going to be a major underdog.

Tevin has a 33-5-1 record and has recorded 8 wins before the final bell.

Muratalla, though, is undefeated at 20-0. Not only that, but Raymond has won 15 bouts via knockout.

Muratalla should score another knockout victory.

So go under the rounds total or back Muratalla on a KO prop once odds land before accepting the predicted underlaid moneyline odds.

Boxing Pick: Raymond Muratalla

Janibek Alimkhanuly -2500 vs Andrei Mihalovich +950

WBO and IBF Middleweight Titles

Alimkhanuly is a huge -2500 favorite.

Champions like Alimkhanuly don’t often lose as -2500 favorites.

The belt holder does have a nice 15-0 record with 10 stoppage wins.

Andrei Mikhailovich is 20-0 with 13 stoppage wins.

Don’t let the record fool you.

Mikhailovich has fought primarily in New Zealand where the boxing gyms aren’t on par with those in the U.S. Alimkhanuly wins this for sure.

Janibek should win via knockout.

So consider under the rounds total or a TKO/KO prop or both.

Boxing Pick: Janibek Alimkhanuly

Philadelphia – DAZN

Skye Nicolson vs Dyana Vargas

WBC Women’s Featherweight Title

19-1 Dyana Vargas will have a chance.

Vargas has won 12 of her bouts via stoppage before the final bell.

It’s rare in women’s boxing to find a featherweight with as much power as Vargas possesses.

Skye Nicolson is 10-0. Nicolson doesn’t have much power having won a single bout via stoppage.

Vargas’s power projects to be the difference in this.

Consider the moneyline if Nicolson, as expected, is the chalk.

Boxing Pick: Dyana Vargas

Jaron Ennis -1800 vs David Avanesyan +1000

IBF Welterweight Title

Avanesyan has a nice 30-4-1 record with 18 stoppage wins.

But although Avanesyan has a great record, he’s in trouble versus Jaron Ennis.

2 of the underdog’s losses have happened via knockout.

Also, Ennis is 31-0 with 28 stoppage wins. Under will be a viable play.

So will backing Ennis via any technical knockout or knockout props.

With the high knockout percentage of Ennis, this fight is unlikely to go the distance.

Look for Ennis to win via KO/TKO early.

Boxing Pick: Jaron Ennis

Previous Betting News

This Saturday night, DAZN ignites the boxing world with a thrilling fight card, headlined by the highly anticipated clash between Shakur Stevenson and Artem Harutyunyan!

Are you ready to delve into the betting on boxing odds and make your predictions for this epic showdown?

Boxing Events: Stevenson vs Harutyunyan Headlines Saturday Bouts | MyBookie Boxing Analysis of the Top Weekend Bouts in July

July’s Boxing Events: Saturday, July 6th, 2024
DAZN | London, California, New Jersey

Boxing Events: Stevenson vs Harutyunyan Headlines Saturday Bouts

Shakur Stevenson, one of the world’s top pound for pound boxers, heads to the ring on Saturday night to take on Artem Harutyunyan.

The undefeated Stevenson possess fantastic, tactical boxing skill and is a major favorite versus Harutyunyan.

Also on Saturday, O’Shaquie Foster goes against Robson Conceicao and William Zepeda takes on Giovanni Cabrera.

Check out boxing odds, analysis, and free picks for five of this Saturday’s top bouts.

Johnny Fisher -650 vs Alen Babic +425

Saturday, July 6th, 2024 – London

12-1 Alen Babic has earned the nickname the “Savage” because he’s knocked out 11 of his opponents.

Babic can box if required, though, winning a unanimous decision victory over Adam Balski in 2022.

Recently, Babic bounced back from a knockout loss to Lukasz Rozanski by knocking out Steve Robinson.

Johnny Fisher is 11-0 with 10 stoppage wins. Although it sounds simple, the winner of this matchup could come down to age.

Babic is north of 30, which means the 25 year old Fisher has a big time edge.

Look for a Fisher KO prop if you don’t like the moneyline odds.

Boxing Pick: Johnny Fisher

Nate Diaz +200 vs Jorge Masvidal -255

Saturday, July 6th, 2024 – California

This Saturday’s pseudo-celebrity boxing match pits a couple of mixed martial artists agianst each other.

Masvidal is at -255, which makes him a play against.

The reason? Neither Masvidal nor Nate Diaz have tremendous boxing skills.

What Diaz does have is a close to iron chin that took Jake Paul’s power to break.

For sure, Jorge has more tread on the tires, but the odds difference makes Masvidal close to unplayable.

Taking a swing on Nate to get it done makes sense.

Boxing Pick: Nate Diaz

William Zepeda -2000 vs Giovanni Cabrera +850

Saturday, July 6th, 2024 – California

22-1 Giovanni Cabrera doesn’t have much chance against William Zepeda. Cabrera is a quality boxer.

But he has just 7 stoppage wins from the 22 victories.

Also, Cabrera goes up against one of the best in the world.

Zepeda is 30-0 with 26 stoppage wins. Williams gets the W for sure.

The question is whether he knocks out Cabrera and when he scores the KO victory.

First, yes, Zepeda wins via technical knockout or knockout. Second, Zepeda goes under the total rounds.

So look for a KO prop or go under before backing William at -2000.

Boxing Pick: William Zepeda

O’Shaquie Foster -225 vs Robson Conceicao +175

WBC World Super Featherweight

Saturday, July 6th, 2024 – New Jersey

More boxing fans project to tune into the O’Shaquie Foster versus Robson Conceicao bout than they will to the Shakur Stevenson versus Artem Harutyunyan.

Stevenson versus Harutyunyan shouldn’t be that exciting.

But Foster versus Conceicao will be. Foster is a good boxer.

If we follow the money in this one, though, we see that Conceicao has a shot.

O’Shaquie struggled to a split decision victory over Abraham Nova in his last.

Conceicao beat 15-1-1 Jose Ortiz via knockout in his last.

Conceicao hung with Emanuel Navrrete in the fight before taking on Ortiz, boxing to a majority draw.

Robson finally scores a world championship title.

Boxing Pick: Robson Conceicao

Shakur Stevenson -2500 vs Artem Harut yunyan +1200

Saturday, July 6th, 2024 – New Jersey

33 year old Artem Harutyunyan has no chance against Shakur Stevenson.

Stevenson could easily win this via decision, but we’re not going to back Stevenson on the moneyline.

Instead, we’re looking for a knockout prop.

The knock against Shakur is that he doesn’t have a killer instinct.

Based on the fact he’s won just 10 of his bouts via TKO or KO, the knock is justified, which makes us think, why Artem Harutyunyan?

Shakur has knockout power. He finishes Harutyunyan in impressive fashion.

Doing so will help set up Stevenson for major money fights in the future.

Back Shakur to end Stevenson’s night via knockout.
Boxing Pick: Shakur Stevenson

Saturday’s Top Bouts: Ennis Takes on Villa for the IBF Interim Welterweight Title | MyBookie Boxing Betting Preview

Boxing Events: Saturday, July 8th, 2023

Luis Nery vs. Froilan Saludar

Boxing Odds: Luis Nery -2000 vs. Froilan Saludar +685
Temoaya, Mexico
DAZN

For favorite Luis Nery, this is a get well bout. The -2000 choice is 34-1 with 26 knockouts. Nery’s lone loss happened against Brandon Figueroa in 2021.

Since then, Luis has won 3 straight. So why do we call this a get well bout? Nery can’t fight in the United States until August this year. So the fact he’s taking on Froilan Saludar in Mexico means he’s setting things up to get well for a title fight.

No doubt, Nery dominated Saludar. Look for a knockout or technical knockout prop before backing Luis on the money line.

Boxing Pick: Luis Nery | Bet Luis Nery vs. Froilan Saludar Today
MyBookie Betting Lines for the Bout

Joseph Diaz vs. Jerry Perez

Boxing Odds: Joseph Diaz -666 vs. Jerry Perez +369
BA & WBC & WBO Flyweight Women’s Titles
AT&T Center | San Antonio, TX
DAZN

It’s surprising that Joseph Diaz is the chalk in this. Diaz has fought the much better boxers, but the favorite is on a 3-match losing streak.

Nobody expected Jo Jo to hang with Devin Haney or William Zepeda Segura. Mercito Gesta, though, is an opponent many expected Diaz to beat. Gesta got the split-decision win.

Jerry Perez enters this with a 14-2-1 record. Michel Rivera beat Perez via unanimous decision 2 fights ago. Perez managed a majority draw versus Adrian Corona in the last. For sure Diaz can win this, but the odds make the favorite an underlay. Taking a shot on Perez makes sense.

Boxing Pick: Jerry Perez | Bet Joseph Diaz vs. Jerry Perez Today
MyBookie Betting Lines for the Bout

Marlen Esparza vs. Gabriela Celeste Alaniz

Boxing Odds: Marlen Esparza -232 vs. Gabriela Celeste Alaniz +164
BA & WBC & WBO Flyweight Women’s Titles
AT&T Center | San Antonio, TX
DAZN

The underdog in this is 14-0 with 6 stoppage victories. Gabriela Celeste Alaniz hasn’t fought outside of her native Argentina, which explains why she’s the +164 underdog.

Another reason Alaniz is the underdog in this bout is because champ Marlen Esparza owns 2-of-3 belts. Alaniz is the WBO champ while Esparza is the WBA and WBC champion. Esparza is on a 6 fight winning streak. Alaniz will fight well, but Marlen projects as the winner.

Boxing Pick: Marlen Esparza | Bet Marlen Esparza vs. Gabriela Celeste Alaniz Today
MyBookie Betting Lines for the Bout

Yoelvis Gomez vs. Marquise Taylor

Boxing Odds: Yoelvis Gomez -526 vs. Marquise Taylor +322
Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall | Atlantic City, NJ
Showtime

Gomez versus Taylor is a clash of styles. The +322 underdog is 14-1-2 but has just a single knockout win and it came against a 2-13 boxer in a fight in Colombia.

Favorite Yoelvis Gomez is 6-0 with 5 stoppage victories. Gomez won 3 of his bouts via straight up knockout and the other 2 via technical knockout.

Taylor will try to pile up points and win this via decision. But Gomez is a decent boxer as well as being a power puncher. The favorite prevails.

Boxing Pick: Yoelvis Gomez | Bet Yoelvis Gomez vs. Marquise Taylor Today
MyBookie Betting Lines for the Bout

Roiman Villa vs. Jaron Ennis

Boxing Odds: Roiman Villa +605 vs. Jaron Ennis -1428
IBF Interim Welterweight Title
Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall | Atlantic City, NJ
Showtime

Roiman Villa’s only loss happened via split-decision in a 2019 bout against then 23-6 Marcos Villasana. Since the loss, Villa has won 7 straight. Roiman heads into this off a majority decision victory versus Rashidi Ellis in January.

Favorite Jaron Ennis is 30-0. Ennis has speed and tremendous boxing skills. He’s got a ton of power. Of Ennis’ 30 wins, 27 have ended before the final bell.

This will be a good bout but Ennis wins. The favorite should end Villa’s night before they go to the scorecards.

Saturday’s Top Bouts: Bumgardner Puts Her Belts on the Line vs. Linardatou

Previous Betting News

The lone championship bout taking place on Saturday should be a good one. Undisputed Junior Lightweight Champion Alycia Baumgardner takes on Christina Linardatou a big time favorite. But Linardatou has decent experience.

Also on Saturday, Nonito Donaire is a slight favorite against Alexandro Santiago.

Keep reading for boxing lines on those two bouts as well as three other fantastic fights happening on Saturday, July 15th.

Saturday’s Top Bouts: Bumgardner Puts Her Belts on the Line vs. Linardatou | MyBookie Boxing Betting Preview

Boxing Events: Saturday, July 15th, 2023

Alycia Baumgardner vs. Christina Linardatou

Boxing Odds: Elvis Rodriguez -454 vs. Viktor Postol +285
Junior Lightweight Undisputed Championship

Masonic Temple | Detroit, Michigan

Alycia “The Bomb” Baumgardner has won 8 straight. 2 of her last 4 victories came against top contenders Terri Harper and Mikaela Mayer. Both Harper and Mayer pushed Baumgardner, but Alycia got the wins.

However, before we declare Baumgardner the easy winner, it’s important to note that the last loss came versus Christina Linardatou. The underdog in this beat the favorite in 2019.

Since then, Linardatou has rolled to victories, losing just once, to then undefeated Katie Taylor. Linardatou, for sure, can upset Baumgardner. This will be an excellent and exciting fight. Alycia is an underlay at the odds. So backing Christina makes sense.

Boxing Pick: Christina Linardatou | Bet Alycia Baumgardner vs. Christina Linardatou Today
MyBookie Betting Lines for the Bout

Quinton Randall vs. Willie Jones

Boxing Odds: Quinton Randall -312 vs. Willie Jones +209
Cosmopolitan | Las Vegas, Nevada

The favorite in this has an excellent 12-0-1 record. But although Quinton Randall has never tasted defeat, he appears to lack power. Quinton has just 3 wins via technical knockout to his credit. The good news if you’re looking to back Randall is that one of the TKO wins happened in his last.

Willie Jones has a 9-2 record. Jones has fought twice since a 2019 defeat where he fell to Luke Santamaria via split-decision loss. Jones knocked out Brian Jones in 2021. Then in February, he defeated then 10-0 Derrick Jackson in the first round.

Randall should be the chalk based on his record. But Jones is the play. The dog offers excellent odds to get the win.

Boxing Pick: Willie Jones | Bet Alycia Baumgardner vs. Christina Linardatou Today
MyBookie Betting Lines for the Bout

Elvis Rodriguez vs. Viktor Postol

Boxing Odds: Elvis Rodriguez -454 vs. Viktor Postol +285
Cosmopolitan | Las Vegas, Nevada

Veteran Viktor Postol faces a tough customer in Elvis “The Dominican Kid” Rodriguez. The underdog in this has an excellent 31-4 record with 12 knockout wins, but Postol has lost his last 2 bouts, via majority decision to Carlos Ramirez in 2020 and via technical knockout to Gary Antuanne Russell in 2022.

Rodriguez is 14-1-1. Since falling to Kenneth Simms in 2021, Elvis has won 3 straight. The Dominican Kid gets it done.

Boxing Pick: Elvis Rodriguez | Bet Elvis Rodriguez vs. Viktor Postol Today
MyBookie Betting Lines for the Bout

Artem Harutyunyan vs. Frank Martin

Boxing Odds: Artem Harutyunyan +603 vs. Frank Martin -1428
Cosmopolitan | Las Vegas, Nevada

Both fighters are undefeated, which is why some might believe these two are close in talent. They aren’t. Frank Martin is the much more skilled boxer.

Martin is 17-0 with 12 TKO or KO victories. The massive chalk in this can box or brawl.

Harutyunyan is 12-0. The record isn’t an issue, but the underdog in this hasn’t fought outside of Germany. The dog is taking a massive step up in class. Martin should end Harutyunyan’s night early. Consider going under the rounds total.

Boxing Pick: Frank Martin | Bet Artem Harutyunyan vs. Frank Martin Today
MyBookie Betting Lines for the Bout

Nonito Donaire vs. Alexandro Santiago

Boxing Odds: Nonito Donaire -172 vs. Alexandro Santiago +124
Cosmopolitan | Las Vegas, Nevada

It’s difficult to go against the Filipino Flash in this. Yes, Nonito Donaire lost his last bout but Nayoa Inoue dominates his opponents. Inoue is one of the best body punchers already in the history of boxing.

Donaire takes a step down in class. Alexandro Santiago is 27-3-5. Santiago will fight hard but he hasn’t come close to battling a pugilist on Nonito’s level. Consider over the total if there is one because Alexandro has never lost before the final bell.

Giovani Santillan vs. Erick Bone

Boxing Odds: Giovani Santillan -2000 vs. Erick Bone +686
Saturday, July 22nd, 2023
FireLake Arena | Shawnee, United States

34-year-old Colombian boxer Erick Bone is solid. Bone has won 27 bouts and knocked out 14 of his opponents. Although Bone has lost 6, the last defeat came against Sergey Lipinets via majority decision in 2018.

For sure, Bone will fight tough. But he’s up against a soon to be pound for pound best in 30-0 Giovani Santillan. Santillan has stopped 16 of his opponents before the final bell. It’s tough to back the chalk on the money line. So look for a TKO/KO prop or go over or under the total if oddsmakers set a line.

Boxing Pick: Giovani Santillan | Bet Giovani Santillan vs. Erick Bone Today

Keyshawn Davis -5000 vs. Francisco Patera +940

One look at the odds and we know what this is. Keyshawn Davis’ promoter is building his star’s resume. Davis is going to have to do a lot more than beat Francisco Patera if he hopes to get a title shot.

Davis will enter the ring with 8 victories. So the budding superstar must pick up the pace to get the bigger paydays. As far as this fight is concerned, Keyshawn wins. Davis can knock out Patera. So if oddsmakers set a round total, consider under.

Boxing Odds: Maxi Hughes +257 vs. George Kambosos -357
Saturday, July 22nd, 2023
FireLake Arena | Shawnee, United States

George Kambosos is afraid of no man, which is why after upsetting Teofimo Lopez, Kambosos proceeded to lose 2 straight to Devin Haney.

Maxi Hughes isn’t on Haney’s level. However, Hughes is on a winning streak. In his last, Hughes beast Kid Galahad via majority decision. Before the victory over Galahad, Hughes bested Ryan Walsh for the IBO World Lightweight title.

Maxi shouldn’t win, but Kambosos shouldn’t be a worse than -350 favorite. Grab the overlay odds on Hughes.

Robeisy Ramirez vs. Satoshi Shimizu

Boxing Odds: Robeisy Ramirez -5000 vs. Satoshi Shimizu +861
WBO Featherweight Titles
Tuesday, July 25th, 2023
Ariake Arena | Tokyo, Japan

The odds say it all, right? Robeisy Ramirez is a 5,000-to-1 favorite for a reason. Ramirez should have no trouble winning this bout.

For sure, Satoshi Shimizu is going to fight hard. The veteran Japanese boxer is on a 3-match winning streak. Shimizu figures to elongate the fight, but this is a massive step up in class. Shimizu lost his last via knockout. So if you find an attractive prop on Ramirez to end Satoshi’s night early, consider.

Boxing Pick: Robeisy Ramirez | Bet Robeisy Ramirez vs. Satoshi Shimizu Today

Stephen Fulton vs. Nayoa Inoue

Boxing Odds: Stephen Fulton +235 vs. Nayoa Inoue -357
WBO Junior Featherweight Titles
Tuesday, July 25th, 2023
Ariake Arena | Tokyo, Japan

Stephen Fulton is a good boxer. Fulton has a 21-0 record, which is why he gets a chance at the title. But Fulton has stopped just 8 rivals before the final bell.

Inoue is 24-0 with 21 TKO or KO wins. Nayoa knows how to throw to the body with force. He can pinpoint his body punches, causing massive damage. Give Inoue another stoppage victory.

Eithan James vs. James Moorcroft

Boxing Odds: Eithan James -500 vs. James Moorcroft +309
Saturday, July 29th, 2023
Telford International Center, Telford, UK

Eithan James is the huge -500 favorite because he’s got a nice 11-0 undefeated record. But although James should be the chalk, the odds make him an underlay.

James has won zero fights, that’s a goose egg, via knockout or technical knockout. He piles up points and then relies on the judges. Although winning fights via points isn’t a bad thing, always going to the scorecards is playing with fire.

James Moorcroft is 19-2 and on a 3-match winning streak. Moorcroft beat then 12-3 Nathan Bennett via second round TKO in his last. Overall, Moorcroft has 7 victories via knockout from his 19. Give the dog a shot.

Boxing Pick: James Moorcroft | Bet Eithan James vs. James Moorcroft Today

Brayan de Gracia vs. Edward Vazquez

Boxing Odds: Brayan de Gracia +300 vs. Edward Vazquez -500
Saturday, July 29th, 2023
Riders Field, Frisco, TX

Here’s another where the favorite may be going off at underlay odds. Edward Vazquez has a nice 14-1 record, but he’s stopped just 3 of his opponents before the final bell.

Brayan de Gracia has much more experience than the chalk. The +300 underdog is 29-2-1. Not only that, but de Gracia has won 25 of his bouts via knockout or technical knockout. If the odds difference was closer, backing Vazquez would make sense. But at -500, the favorite is a play against.

Boxing Pick: Edward Vazquez | Bet Brayan de Gracia vs. Edward Vazquez Today

Yoenis Tellez vs. Sergio Garcia

Boxing Odds: Yoenis Tellez +106 vs. Sergio Garcia -147
Junior middleweights
Saturday, July 29th, 2023
T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas, Nevada

Although Garcia is the favorite, Tellez is so confident he gets the win over Garcia that he’s signed to fight Johan Gonzalez in August. It’s tough to go against Tellez after the slight underdog has shown so much confidence.

For sure, Garcia can win this. However, the favorite has lost 2 of his last 3 and required the judges to beat Ricardo Sebastian Cabana in his last. Tellez’s confidence speaks volumes in this. Backing the dog makes sense.

Boxing Pick: Yoenis Tellez | Bet Yoenis Tellez vs. Sergio Garcia Today

Isaac Cruz vs. Giovanni Cabrera

Boxing Odds: Isaac Cruz -769 vs. Giovanni Cabrera +417
WBA lightweight title eliminator
Saturday, July 29th, 2023
T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas, Nevada

Isaac “Pitbull” Cruz is one of boxing’s most popular pugilists. The favorite in this Crawford versus Spence undercard bout has won 17 of his 24 victories via stoppage.

Cruz’s 2 losses came agianst Gervonta Davis and way back in 2016 when Cruz fought in Mexico. The loss to Davis happened via unanimous decision.

Cabrera is a good boxer, but he shouldn’t last the entire 12 rounds. Cruz gets the knockout win.

Boxing Pick: Issac Cruz | Bet Isaac Cruz vs. Giovanni Cabrera Today
MyBookie Betting Lines for the Bout

Alexandro Santiago vs. Nonito Donaire

Boxing Odds: Alexandro Santiago +122 vs. Nonito Donaire -169
WBC Bantamweight Title
Saturday, July 29th, 2023
T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas, Nevada

Donaire is the chalk, but we may want to take a closer look at Santiago. The underdog in this hasn’t lost since falling to Gary Antuanne Russell via majority decision back in 2021.

Santiago has won 3 straight since then. Another reason to consider backing the underdog in this? Nonito Donaire lost his last via a devastating second round knockout against Nayoa Inoue. Losing to Inoue the way Donaire did should have had lasting effects. Santiago gets the nod.

Spence Throws Down Against Crawford in the Year’s Most Anticipated Bout

Errol Spence Jr. versus Terence Crawford is one of the most anticipated bouts in the past decade. Both fighters are undefeated. Both fighters do almost everything well. And both fighters are hungry to prove they’re the pound for pound best on the planet.

Which boxer gets it done in this massive event on Saturday?

Check out boxing betting lines analysis, and a free pick for Spence Jr. versus Crawford.

Betting This Year’s Most Anticipated Bout: Spence vs Crawford | MyBookie Boxing Betting Preview

Money Line Odds: Errol Spence Jr. +113 / Terence Crawford -156

Errol Spence Jr vs Terence Crawford for WBA, WBC, IBF and WBO welterweight titles
Saturday, July 29th, 2023
T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas, NV
PPV

Why Bet on Errol Spence Jr. versus Terence Crawford?

Errol “The Truth” Spence Jr. 28-0 with 22 KOs
Spence Jr. brings some advantages into the fight. For starters, because he’s taller by an inch and a half, which Errol’s jab should be more effective than Crawford’s.

Spence Jr. will jab slightly down, which will make Crawford react more than Terence has had to in the past. Also, without a doubt, Spence Jr. is the best fighter Crawford has faced. Not only that, but Errol has thrown down against better opponents in recent fights then Crawford has.

Why Bet on Terence Crawford versus Errol Spence Jr.

Terence “Bud” Crawford 39-0 with 30 KOs
Crawford is the reigning pound for pound king for a reason. He has a knock for winning every angle. He’s also excellent at getting through the high guard that Spence Jr. uses when Errol is trying to fend off attackers.

Crawford gets through his opponents high guard a couple of ways. First, he powers through it by throwing combinations at the guard itself. Second, he forces his opponents to lower the guard by throwing to the open body.

Either way, once Spence Jr. goes into his high guard defense, Crawford will know what to do to break open his opponent’s guard.

Final Betting Analysis: Terence Crawford vs. Errol Spence Jr.

This fight is going to come down to small changes that each have prepared leading up to the fight. If Crawford and Spence Jr. fight exactly like they have in the past, they will lose.

So we must expect both boxers to have added wrinkles during training camp. Spence Jr. has the ability to win this fight.

Errol is an excellent boxer with a fantastic jab, terrific power, and amazing footwork. Also, Errol is against top recent competition. So he has an edge in terms of opponents’ abilities against Crawford.

But Terence is a master adjuster. Crawford can adjust on the fly. By on the fly, we don’t mean in between rounds. We mean Crawford can adjust in the middle of a round and in the middle of a combination.

Crawford’s boxing IQ might be the highest of any fighter’s since Muhammad Ali. That’s saying a lot but based on his fights, it’s likely true. Terence will have an answer for everything Spence does: high guard, low guard, jab, power, whatever.

Not only that, but Crawford throws one of the best swivel jabs, which acts like a hook more than a jab, in the history of the sport. When it comes down to it, Crawford’s incredible ability to switch things up in the middle of a combination, his reaction time and incredible balance overtakes Spence. Terence wins via late TKO or unanimous decision.

Boxing Pick: Terence Crawford | Bet Errol Spence Jr. vs Terrence Crawford Today

In one of this Saturday’s top boxing matches, Michael Conlan battles Diego Alberto Ruiz in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Can Conlan continue to impress? In New York, Jean Pascal takes on Marcus Browne for Browne’s WBA interim light heavyweight title. Check out the boxing odds, analysis, and free picks for Conlan-Alberto Ruiz, Pascal-Browne, and two other great matches!

Top Boxing Betting Picks for the Week – July 29th Edition

Saturday, August 3

Paddy Gallagher vs Chris Jenkins

Where: Belfast, Northern Ireland
TV: ESPN+

Paddy Gallagher has a nice 16-5 record with 10 knockouts. He last fought against then 5-0-0 Liam Wells. Gallagher beat Wells via TKO. On Saturday, Gallagher takes on Chris Jenkins.

Jenkins is 21-3-2 with 8 knockouts. Jenkins has a couple of inches on Gallagher. Not only that, but he fights a more traditional style, with his hands up in a defensive position. Gallagher prefers to fight with his hands down, goading his opponent to throw reckless punches. Jenkins should take advantage of Gallagher when he drops his hands.

Boxing Betting Pick: Chris Jenkins

Michael Conlan vs Diego Alberto Ruiz

Now 11-0 with 6 knockouts, Michael Conlan faces arguably his toughest opponent yet on Saturday. Conlan enters the ring against 21-2 Diego Alberto Ruiz. However, for the 25-year-old Argentinian to win, he must get past Conlan’s immense physical attributes.

Conlan is taller and has a much longer reach. If Ruiz can get inside, he can do some damage. Unfortunately, Ruiz has only fought in his native Argentina. Conlan should easily handle Ruiz on Saturday. The real question is when, or if, Michael Conlan will ever fight a ranked boxer.

Boxing Betting Pick: Michael Conlan

Andre Berto vs Miguel Cruz

Where: New York, NY
TV: FOX

The 35-year-old Berto has built a 32-5 record with 24 knockouts by fighting the best in the world. Since 2015, Berto has lost to Floyd Mayweather Jr., beaten Victor Ortiz, lost to Shawn Porter, and beaten Devon Alexander. He isn’t afraid of anybody.

On August 3, the throws down against Miguel Cruz. Cruz is 18-1 with 12 knockouts. Although it’s difficult to see Cruz knocking out Berto, he’s got a serious height advantage in this match. Cruz is 5’ 11” while Berto is 5’ 6”. However, Cruz only has a ½” reach advantage, 69” to Berto’s 68 ½”.

Berto’s experience could lead him to victory here. He’s fought the much better fighters. Plus, he’s paced himself with only a single fight a year since 2016. Berto is worth backing.

Boxing Betting Pick: Andre Berto

Marcus Browne vs Jean Pascal

23-0-0 Marcus Browne owns the interim WBA Light Heavyweight Title. The southpaw tends to keep his right down when he fights. That’s usually a recipe for disaster, but Browne has a speedy jab. Right now in his career, the macho dude style of fighting won’t hurt him against a boxer like Jean Pascal.

Pascal has a lot of wear on his tire treads. His record is 33-6-1. He last fought and lost a unanimous decision to Dimitry Bivol. Bivol is a better fighter than Browne. Bivol also took a lot out of Pascal. That should set up Browne for a nice win in this.

Boxing Betting Pick: Marcus Browne

Saturday, July 27

Tevin Farmer vs Guillaume Frenois

Where: Arlington, TX
TV: DAZN

29-4-1 Tevin Farmer hasn’t lost since Jose Pedraza beat him way back in 2012. That’s a string of 23 straight wins. Farmer battles a boxer on Saturday with a stunning record.

Guillaume Frenois is 46-1-1. Although the record looks great, a deeper dive reveals some issues with the sterling record. First, he has limited power. Of his 46 victories, he has only knocked out 12 opponents. Second, almost every fight has happened in France or the UK.

This is Frenois’s first bout in the United States. The fact Guillaume is 35 means Tevin could make this a short night for the top French fighter.

Boxing Betting Pick: Tevin Farmer

Maurice Hooker vs Jose Ramirez

Maurice Hooker is undefeated with a 26-0-3 record. The last draw happened in 2016 versus Darleys Perez. Since then, Hooker has beaten Cristobal Cruz, Courtney Jackson, Terry Flanagan, Alex Saucedo, and Mikkel LesPierre.

Hooker’s got a crazy 80” reach. Ramirez is a tough fighter. He’s undefeated at 26-0-0. But, there’s no way a fighter with a 7 ½” reach advantage should lose. Hooker wins this.

Boxing Betting Pick: Maurice Hooker

Youriorkis Gamboa vs Roman “Rocky” Martinez

Where: Baltimore, Maryland
TV: Showtime

Gamboa takes on Martinez in the warmup to the Davis-Nunez main event on Showtime’s Saturday card. Youriorkis Gamboa, 29-2-0, has won 3 in a row. Can he make it four in a row versus highly respected Roman “Rocky” Martinez.

Martinez has a decent record, 30-3-3. But, he drew with Orlando Salido and lost to Vasiliy Lomachenko in 2 of his last 3 bouts. Martinez fought and beat William Gonzalez in his native Puerto Rico in his last bout.

Both these guys are on the north side of 35 and neither has a real physical advantage. Which fighter takes this? Gamboa does because he takes less chances than Martinez does.

Boxing Betting Pick: Youriorkis Gamboa

Gervonta Davis vs Ricardo Nunez

21-0-0 Gervonta Davis hopes to continue as champion when he fights Ricardo Nunez. Nunez, 21-2-0, hasn’t battled the same caliber of fighters as Davis has. At 5’ 6”, Nunez is slightly taller than Davis.

Although highly skilled, Nunez’s style, constantly moving forward, is tailor-made for Davis. All Davis will do is take a step back and land one of his thundering overhand punches. If he can’t connect over Nunez’s gloves, Davis will throw straight punches right through Nunez’s defense. It’s tough to see Nunez keeping this one close.

Boxing Betting Pick: Gervonta Davis

Top Boxing Betting Picks of the Week – July 15th Edition

Caleb Plant (18-0, 10 KOs) vs. Mike Lee (21-0, 11 KOs)

When: Saturday, July 20, 2019
Where: MGM Grand Garden Arena, Paradise, NV
TV: Fox PPV/Fox/Fox Deportes

Boxing Odds

Mike Lee +985
Caleb Plant -1770

These two undefeated fighters will throw down for 12 rounds, for Plant’s IBF super middleweight title. 32-year-old Illinois native Mike Lee stands 6’0” with a 74-inch reach. He’s an unblemished 21-0 in his career and enters this bout coming off a unanimous decision win over Jose Hernandez that earned him the NABO light heavyweight title in June of 2018.

27-year-old Caleb ‘Sweet Hands’ Plant stands 6’1” with a 74-inch reach. The Tennessee native is unbeaten in 18 career bouts and comes into this title fight off a unanimous decision win over Jose Uzcategui in January that saw him claim the IBF middleweight title.

Now, as he makes his first title defense, Plant is a heavy favorite and it’s easy for me to see why. Not only is Plant the younger and definitely more explosive fighter in this pairing, plus he’s got the added motivation of trying to retain his title. Just keep it simple here boxing bettors and back the champ to win, most likely, via unanimous decision.

Prediction: Caleb Plant Via Unanimous Decision

Keith Thurman (29-0-1, 22 KOs) vs. Manny Pacquiao (61-7-2, 39 KOs)

When: Saturday, July 20, 2019
Where: MGM Grand Garden Arena, Paradise, NV
TV: Fox PPV/Fox/Fox Deportes

Boxing Odds

Keith Thurman +115
Manny Pacquiao -135

These two notable stars will be square off in a12-round affair for Thurman’s WBA welterweight title. I know the great Manny Pacquiao is a living legend that has somehow both, extended and resurrected his career in recent years despite being 40-years-old, but I’m completely shocked that he’s favored over the much younger – and unbeaten – champion Keith Thurman heading into their super welterweight title bout this coming weekend.

Yes, I know Pacquiao has won two straight bouts and four of five including an impressive unanimous decision win over Adrien Broner in January that helped him retain his WBA ‘regular’ welterweight title, but Keith ‘One Time’ Thurman has beaten all challengers including Josesito Lopez via majority decision in January in his eighth defense of some form of the WBA welterweight title. For me, I’m going with the unbeaten champ to record a huge ‘upset’ by stopping Pacquiao inside the distance.

“He’s a legend,” Thurman said. “I get the last remaining legend. He’s like a dodo bird. He’s like a dinosaur. He might be old, but he’s not extinct. That’s my job, make him extinct.”

Again, despite the odds listing him as the favorite and despite his big edge in experience, Keith Thurman has the big advantage in age, speed – and punching power. I like the champ to win and cash in as a value-packed underdog!

Prediction: Keith Thurman Via Eighth Round KO

Previous Betting News

Okay boxing fans and betting enthusiasts, with just one ‘real’ title fight going down in the U.S. this coming week and a less known title bout also taking place, you might be getting the ‘big name’ pairings you’d probably like to see, but that certainly doesn’t mean you won’t have your share of chances to potentially cash in with winning wager.

With one huge title bout and one other fight that looks like a prelude to another championship bout just waiting to happen, both could turn out to be meaningful affairs for the respective winners, let’s find out who’s in action and which fighters are looking good against their boxing odds.

Top Boxing Betting Picks of the Week – July 8th Edition

Rey Vargas (33-0, 22 KOs) vs. Tomoki Kameda (36-2)

When: July 13 2019,
Where: Carson, Calif.
TV: DAZN

Kameda and Vargas will square off in a 12-round battle for Vargas’ WBC junior featherweight title. Tomokia Kameda stands 5’7” woth a 66-inch reach. The 27-year-old from Japan has won five straight fights including a unanimous decision win over Abigail Medina in November. Rey Vargas stands 5’7½” with a 70-inch reach. The 28-year-old from Mexico has never been beaten and enters this bout coming off a unanimous decision win over Franklin Manzanilla in February.

“I think both he and I have changed in many things, the professional ranks are different and the fight will be different, but the result will be the same, we will win because our ability to adjust is better as the fight progresses,” Vargas told reporters recently.

Prediction

Vargas defeated Tomoki Kameda when they were amateurs in Mexico and I’m going with the champ to get it done again, though I’m not expecting a cakewalk win by any stretch of the imagination. Kameda is an excellent fighter, but Vargas has never been beaten and I expect him to problem-solve his way to the unanimous decision win.

Boxing Betting Pick: Rey Vargas Via Unanimous Decision

Diego De La Hoya (21-0. 10 KOs) vs. Ronny Rios (30-3, 14 KOs)

When: July 13 2019,
Where: Carson, Calif.
TV: DAZN

These two featherwieghts will square off in a 12 round battle on Saturday. Ronny Rios stands 5’6” with a 70-inch reach. The 29 year-old from California comes into this bout off a 10-round unanimous decision win over Deivi Julio Bass in December after losing to Rey Vargas in his previous bout. Diego De La Hoya stand 5’6” with a 68-inch reach. The 24-year-old California native and cousin of 10-time world champion Oscar de La Hoya comes into this bout off a seventh round retirement win over Jose Salgado in June of 2018.

Prediction

This bout is clearly set up as a stepping stone matchup for the gifted De La Hoya and it looks like a routing affair just waiting to happen seeing as how De La Hoya is the younger, stronger and faster fighter in this affair, not to mention the fact that he’s never been beaten. De La Hoya wins via unanimous decision, seeing as how he clearly doesn’t have the finishing power of his famous kin.

Boxing Betting Pick: Diego De La Hoya via Unanimous Decision
