2022 Dana White’s Contender Series Week 7 Betting Analysis and MMA Picks

Tuesday is almost upon us, which means we are drawing ever closer to another round of fights in the Sana White Contenders Series. The first 6 weeks have been incredibly fun to watch so we can probably expect more of the same on Tuesday night, with 5 big fights set to come your way. It’s worth reminding you all the each of the fighters taking part in these events are looking to impress the top brass and make their way into the UFC. The type of carrot being dangled is what helps to make every bout on the card worth watching. Who will shine this week and improve their chances of moving on up? Let’s break down all the fights so you can get ready to place your bets against the MMA Odds.

MMA Betting Picks and Preview for Dana White’s Contender Series: Season 6, Week 7

Tereza Bleda Vs Nyara Maia

We get the evening started with a women’s Flyweight bout, with both fighters coming in with unbeaten records. Bleda has been perfect as a pro, winning each of her 5 fights, with 4 of those wins coming inside the distance. While not totally perfect, Maia still comes in with an unbeaten 7-0-1 record, with the majority all coming inside the distance. I like this one to go all the way, with Bleda getting the decision.

Ismael Bonfim Vs Nariman Abbasov

The next bout features a pair of experienced Lightweight fighters going head-to-head in what looks to be an evenly matched bout. Bonfim is 17-3 and you need to go back to 2014 to find the last time he lost a bout, winning 11 in a row since then. Believe it or not, Abbasov is a little better, winning 12 in a row to get to 20-3 overall. I am giving the edge to Abbasov, who I like for the KO win.

Karl Williams Vs Jimmy Lawson

Next up is a Heavyweight bout featuring a pair of powerful fighters with KO experience. Williams is 6-1 overall, with 3 of his wins coming in the opening round, while his lone loss also ended in Round 1. Lawson started life as a pro with a loss, but he has since reeled off 4 straight wins, with all of them coming inside the distance. There will be a KO win here, and I like Lawson to get it.

Gabriel Bonfim Vs Trey Waters

The Welterweights step into the octagon for the penultimate fight of the night, with both fighters protecting unbeaten records. Bonfim is an impressive 12-0 as a pro and has made a habit of getting the job done early. Waters is not quite as experienced, but he does have a perfect 6-0 record to his name. This, though, feels like a step up for Waters, which is why I have Bonfim winning by submission.

Rodolfo Bellato Vs Vitor Petrino

The main event of the night is a Light Heavyweight bout between a pair of very good fighters. Bellato won his first 5 fights before taking his first loss as a pro, but he bounced back nicely from that to win each of his last 3. No such issue for Petrino, who has looked very good as a pro, winning all 6 of his fights to this point. I don’t see Petrino having that perfect record come to an end, as I like him for the KO win.
