Top Counter Strike Games to Wager on on Friday, December 16:

9INE vs ApeksCCT Central Europe Series #4

Apeks had a disastrous start to its new CS:GO project, and eventually took a long hiatus at the end of September, which stretched until late November, when Apeks attended CCT Central Europe Series #4: Closed Qualifier. But it seems like the long break did the team a lot of good.

Since Apeks returned to the CS:GO competitive scene, they’ve won all but two of 11 outings (9-2), while their only defeats came against Dynamo Eclot and AVANGAR. Although not justifiable losses, Apeks did well enough in other games for us to have faith in them and their chances to defeat 9INE.

9INE are a very up-and-down team. They have achieved some success across the last couple of months but have also had some poor performances, making them one of the most unpredictable teams attending the CCT Central Europe Series #4 playoffs.

On a more positive note, 9INE are 5-2 across their last seven outings, with defeats against Into the Breach and GamerLegion, which isn’t too concerning because 9INE have beaten stronger teams than the two over the same stretch.

This seems like it should be a very competitive series. Apeks look stronger on paper due to their solid form, but 9INE have shown before that they’re not easy to beat. Expect a close match that should go the distance.

Prediction: Over 2.5 maps

GamerLegion vs MASONIC

CCT Central Europe Series #4

GamerLegion and MASONIC last clashed on October 25, when GamerLegion defeated MASONIC 2-1 during Elisa Invitational Fall 2022. GamerLegion have since attended IEM Rio Major, where they won two games in the Challengers Stage, as well as Elisa Masters Espo 2022 and CCT North Europe Series #2, where they caused some damage but failed to achieve much.

But regardless of GamerLegion’s 7-8 record since their win against MASONIC, they have been playing against much stronger teams, so we have to value their record a bit higher. On the other side, MASONIC are 2-3 from their last five and enter this match on a three-game losing streak, with defeats against Permitta, ALTERNATE aTTaX, and ESTOWNIA, which is far from optimal.

Even though MASONIC won a map the last time they clashed with GamerLegion, their recent form leaves us concerned about their chances to cause an upset on Friday. GamerLegion are in much better form and produced a couple of strong showings – mainly their wins against Vitality, HAVU, and BIG – and look much stronger on paper, so barring any surprises, they should come out ahead with plenty to spare.

No matter how you look at this match, GamerLegion should sweep, as anything else would be a major disappointment.

Prediction: GamerLegion -1.5 maps
