Team Secret vs Tundra Esports

The International 2022 has proven to be a wild tournament, producing results not many expected to see. And as we head into the event’s final stage, there are three Western teams and just one Asian squad in Team Aster. Even more impressive is that all three Western teams hail from Europe, including Team Secret and Tundra Esports.

Secret and Tundra know each other very well, having faced one another several times this season, more precisely five times. Interestingly, of the five meetings, Tundra Esports won all but one, yet their sole loss against Team Secret came during Riyadh masters 2022 in July when Secret won 2-0.

Still, that doesn’t change the fact that Tundra are 4-1 up in the head-to-head, with a 7-3 map difference. Moreover, they already won against Secret during the TI group stage.

So far this tournament, Secret and Tundra have both looked incredible, claiming the top two spots in Group B. Tundra finished the group stage with a 5-4-0 record, while Secret have managed a 5-3-1 record, with their sole loss coming against no other than Tundra Esports.

Since the group stage, Secret have won against PSG.LGD and Thunder Awaken. Meanwhile, Tundra eliminated OG and Team Aster – both exceptional results, granted it’s easy to see why Tundra are considered the favorite.

We would prefer to be on the side of Tundra for this affair, but knowing how competitive these two teams are, betting on over 2.5 maps at even odds makes the most sense.

Prediction: Over 2.5 maps

Team Aster vs Team Liquid

Team Aster and Team Liquid will clash in the TI 2022 lower bracket semi-finals, where they’ll fight for a chance to reach the grand finals and compete for the coveted Aegis of Champions. Team Aster entered the playoffs via Group B, finishing in fourth place with a 3-4-2 record.

They have suffered only two defeats against Fnatic and Team Secret but forced a draw against Tundra Esports, which is fairly impressive. On the other side, Team Liquid placed second in Group A, with a 5-3-1 record and just one loss against TI 2021 finalists, PSG.LGD.

Team Liquid already met Aster in the first round of the playoffs when they lost 0-2, which is not a good look. But the European squad have since looked like an entirely different team and have produced a very impressive run through the lower bracket – beating Entity (2-1), OG (2-0), and Thunder Awaken (2-1).

Aster joined the lower bracket in the second round after losing to Tundra Esports, but they quickly bounced back with a 2-0 sweep of PSG.LGD.

On paper, Team Liquid and Team Aster look evenly matched, yet the betting odds favor Aster, largely due to their success in the opening round of the playoffs. That sounds fair, but Liquid have looked much better since their loss to Aster and look poised to take down the final Asian representatives.

Prediction: Team Liquid to win
