League of Legends World Championship is set to kick off on October 10, 2023, welcoming 24 League of Legends esports teams fighting for the Summoner’s Cup. The tournament will be held in South Korea for the first time since 2018, giving the Korean teams an additional boost of playing on home soil.
However, despite the high expectations for the South Korean Lol esports teams, the esports bookmakers all agree that China is sending the strongest teams to the season-culminating event.
MyBookie has the LOL betting odds as we look to see which team will win it all at the Worlds 2023.

The Main Favourites
According to the latest League of Legends World Championship 2023 outright betting odds, JD Gaming (+120) is the biggest favorite to win the tournament and complete the Golden Road. The Chinese powerhouse has already won the LoL Pro League (LPL) 2023 Spring and Summer splits and the Mid-Season Invitational 2023, meaning they are just one major trophy away from winning every tournament in a LoL season.
JD Gaming are undeniably a force to be reckoned with both domestically and internationally, but as always, the LoL World Championship 2023 is no stranger to upsets, suggesting that one of the outsiders could easily step up and take the spotlight.
Outsiders
As the odds suggest, the LPL 2023 Summer Playoffs finalists, LNG Esports, are the most likely team to upset JD Gaming and win the organization’s first Lol Worlds title. Priced at +500, LNG Esports travel to South Korea as firm outsiders; however, they’re also one of the few teams that caused JD Gaming issues this season.
LNG Esports met with JDG twice in the LPL 2023 Summer Playoffs and forced JDG to three maps in both series. And while no other team managed to accomplish that, it’s also fair to mention that JD Gaming played just Bilibili Gaming and LNG Esports in the playoffs.
Behind the leading favorites, we have South Korean champions, Gen.G, who have looked fantastic this season and are the main home-crowd favorites to watch out for. Gen.G won both LoL Champions Korea (LCK) splits and placed fourth at the Mid-Season Invitational, proving they belong among the elite teams.
However, they’ve shown far less than JD Gaming, so it makes sense that they’re priced at +550. China’s Bilibili Gaming joins the list of four teams priced at single digits (+800) as a dangerous squad that can make some noise. They placed second at the MSI 2023 and looked highly competitive – the only issue is that BLG have never beaten JD Gaming, which puts a huge question mark above their chances to win it all.
Western Teams
As was expected, bookmakers aren’t giving Western teams much chance to win the LoL World Championship, and that’s fair. The gap between the East and the West is substantial, as confirmed by the two regions’ results in past international events.
While there’s a chance one of the Western teams will outperform expectations, it’s doubtful that either will accomplish much.
European champions G2 Esports are priced at +2500 to win LoL Worlds, ahead of Fnatic (+4000), MAD Lions (+6600), Cloud9 (+8000), NRG (+10000), Team Liquid (+20000), Golden Guardians (+30000), and Team BDS (+30000).
