LoL Worlds Predictions & Betting Analysis for the Best Friday, October 14th Games

G2 Esports vs Evil Geniuses

G2 Esports demolished Evil Geniuses on Saturday with an 11k gold lead and 19-2 in kills, proving that they’re the superior team. Admittedly, Evil Geniuses underperformed on the day, but they’ve shown nothing that would suggest that they’ll look much better on Friday.

Evil Geniuses, along with all other North American LoL teams, have been struggling quite badly. Not a single squad has managed to take down a single Tier 2 turret, while their overall drake count sits at eight, which is just as bad as it sounds.

And even though this is undeniably Evil Geniuses’ best chance to win at least one game at LoL Worlds, even that seems highly unlikely. G2 Esports were the better team last week, and nothing has changed since.

Prediction: G2 Esports to win

Evil Geniuses vs JD Gaming

Since Evil Geniuses shouldn’t beat G2 Esports, their chances of defeating JD Gaming are significantly lower. G2 Esports are a solid team, but compared to JD Gaming, they look extremely weak, which tells a lot about how good JD Gaming are.

The last time these two teams met, Evil Geniuses played relatively well and had their moments, but not once did it seem like JD Gaming weren’t in complete control. However, it’s worth noting that EG got to double digits in that affair, which is more of a testament to how JD Gaming play rather than Evil Geniuses’ strength.

We don’t expect EG to upset JDG, but we can safely assume that we’re in for another bloody match with plenty of kills. Take over 26.5 kills.

Prediction: Over 26.5 kills

DWG KIA vs G2 Esports

DWG KIA defeated G2 Esports in the first round of the group stage, and according to the latest LoL betting odds, they should do it again. However, G2 Esports have shown enough this tournament for us to believe that they can cause an upset or at least play a close game.

Last time out, DWG KIA won with 17-7 in kills, but that mainly had to do with G2’s draft, which heavily focused on their bottom lane. But picking Lux-Caitlyn backfired, as G2 couldn’t win the laning phase, effectively leaving them with no win condition.

Assuming G2 Esports approach this game a bit smarter and pick around mid and top, they might stand a chance and push the former LoL world champions to the limits. Will that be enough for G2 to claim an upset is anyone’s guess, but we like the underdogs with a 7.5-kill handicap.

Prediction: G2 Esports +7.5 kills
