The LPL summer playoffs are finally here. The final week came down the wire with playoff seeding, as FPX and IG failed to make the cut on the last day.
In the 9-seed spot is the dangerous Team WE. They’ll be facing off against EDG in a rematch of a betting preview from earlier this season. Edward Gaming took the best of three in three games when these two met previously, but they are coming off a devastating 0-2 loss on Monday night that could affect their confidence.
That mark pales in comparison to Team WE, who are currently on a four-series loss streak with no signs of improvement on the horizon.
With just two weeks removed from their barnburner series, both teams will be looking to prove themselves and stay alive in the playoffs. MyBookie has the LoL betting lines as we look at Team WE vs. Edward Gaming, who will meet in the final two rounds of the eighth week of the split.

Top Lane
Team WE’s top laner Cube played a total of sixteen games of K’sante this season. It’s no surprise that the champion’s disappearance from the top of the meta has had drastic effects on the ability of Team WE to find wins. Cube has played six different champs in his last eight games, all of which were defeats.
With 11 games on Renekton, it’s clear Ale of EDG has the advantage in this matchup. He’s hitting a groove where the meta champs synergize with his own pool and should dominate Cube in this matchup.
Jungle
Heng of Team WE has somehow gotten even better as the season came to a close. A 78% kill participation score ranks among the highest in all roles, and he has a 3.7 KDA to boot. He is extremely dangerous and can play multiple champs, including Maokai, Poppy, Vi, and Sejuani.
Jiejie of Edward Gaming has had a quiet season, but his numbers nearly match Heng’s. He posted a 7/2/20 KDA to Heng’s 9/8/17 in the last matchup between these two, giving EDG a rare jungle advantage against Team WE.
Mid Lane
Team WE’s Shanks has fallen a bit from his early game pace, with his previously flashing 6.2 KDA settling at 4.3 to close out the year. His struggles began against EDG in their meeting, with a 6/6/19 KDA in that series compared to FoFo’s 15/2/14 average.
Speaking of FoFo, he has greatly improved since that breakout series against Shanks. He now has nine games on Neeko and eight on Azir, good for a 69.4% kill participation score and 3.9 KDA. He is still among the weaker mid laners in the league but has certainly escaped the basement.
Bot Lane
Hope and Iwandy were thoroughly outclassed in their series against EDG, with 2.8 and 2.2 KDAs, respectively. They had no answer for the Alistair of Meiko.
Since settling in as the full-time ADC, Uzi has been electric for Edward Gaming. Full credit must go to Meiko, who navigated three different lane partners with ease.
