Euro 2024 Group Stage Frenzy: France Needs a Win, Austria Eyes Upset, Denmark in Must-Win Clash!

The group stage at the European Championship in Germany comes to an end this week, with the next few days set to be rather frantic. The final games of each group are played at the same time, so we could well see fortunes change dramatically over the course of each 90-minute game.

We have already seen a couple of knockout spots decided, but plenty more are up for grabs. Tuesday is a busy day when it comes to Euro Betting, with 4 games on the schedule, so let’s take a look at each, while making some predictions.

France Vs Poland – 12 PM EST

The French came into this tournament as the favorite to win it all, but they have been surprisingly anemic on offense through their opening 2 games, scoring just once.

They will hope to have Kylian Mbappe back, but even if they get the win here, France might still not top the group.

Poland is already officially eliminated from the tournament after losing their opening 2 games, so you do have to wonder how much fight they have left in them.

I think they could be in real trouble in this one.

Netherlands Vs Austria – 12 PM EST

Given the way things are playing out in this group, it looks likely that we will potentially see 3 teams moving on.

The Netherland should be fine, as they have already picked up 4 points, which should be enough to get to the Round of 16.

This group is up for grabs, though, and finishing top could mean an easier draw in the knockout phase.

Austria has been one of the better teams to watch in this tournament, and they are on a high after beating Poland 3-1 in their last game to keep their hopes of moving on alive.

They might need 1 more point to be sure of getting out of the group stage, so expect them to really come out and have a go.

Denmark Vs Serbia – 3 PM EST

The Danes are perhaps a little unlucky to be sitting on just 2 points at this stage of the proceedings.

They let what looked to a win slip away in a 1-1 draw with Slovenia in their opener, and definitely deserved more in a 1-1 draw with England in their last game.

They really need to win in this one to move on.

Serbia definitely needs to win this one after picking up just 1 point from their two games.

They opened with a 1-0 loss to England, after which they tied 1-1 with Slovenia.

Goals have been hard to come by for the Serbs, so you wonder where they are going to find the offense they need here.

England Vs Slovenia – 3 PM EST

When you enter the tournament as one of the favorites to win it, there is an expectation that winning should come easy.

That has not been the case for England, though, as they have looked overly defensive and negative.

They have been in front in both games, but they have failed to assert their dominance and come in with 4 points.

Slovenia has 2 points and still have a shot at getting out of this group, but they need to get something out of this game.

Realistically it needs to be a win, which does seem like a longshot at best.
