Since Max Verstappen won his first F1 World Championship in an epic battle for the ages with Lewis Hamilton, we have been waiting to see another rivalry of that magnate emerge.
Verstappen has pulled away from the pack and made a habit of winning that no other driver looks capable of challenging.

My 2024 Formula 1 British Grand Prix Analysis
There are signs, though, that a rivalry might be about to form, with Lando Norris suddenly in the crosshairs of the champion after they collided in Austria in the last race.
The upshot of that incident was that Verstappen had to settle for 5th, allowing George Russell to go on and get the win.
It is now Verstappen and Norris who are 1st and 2nd in the driver standings at the moment, although the gap is still rather large.
This weekend, they will take to the iconic Silverstone track to have another go, so let’s take a look at the current Formula 1 odds for the 2024 British Grand Prix.
^Max Verstappen F1 Betting Lines -176
By this time last season, Verstappen had already won 9 races and was well on his way to another world championship win.
This season, he is not that far off the pace, winning 7 races to this point. While he has been winning consistently, his lead at the top is just 81 points, which is, to be honest, more than a little comfortable.
You have to go back quite some time to find the last time that Verstappen failed to win in back-to-back races, but there is reason to believe that it might happen this weekend.
The British Grand Prix was a race that had eluded Verstappen his entire career until he eventually won it last year. Still, it is tough to ever bet against him.
^Lando Norris F1 Betting Lines +256
Norris saw his great run of form come to an end in Austria, where, as we mentioned earlier, he had a bit of a collision with Verstappen.
He ended up finishing 20th in that race, which brought to an end an 8-race run where he had not finished worse than 5th.
If he is to keep pace with the champ and actually make this championship battle interesting, he needs to finish ahead of Verstappen this weekend.
Norris finished 2nd in this race last year and looks like a good bet to be on the podium again this time around.

Other Drivers to Consider
If we are to assume that Verstappen and Norris will end up on the podium, which does indeed seem likely, we have to try and figure out who else will land in the top 3.
^Oscar Piastri F1 Betting Lines +1375
This is just the second full season in Formula 1 for him, but he is already proving to be a driver to watch in the future.
He has only been on the podium twice this season, but he has also landed in the top 5 in 4 other races.
Piastri finished 4th in this race last season, so he could be worth a top 3 wager.
^George Russell F1 Betting Lines +1500
Another driver to look at, who is racing in his home nation and coming off a win in Austria.
He is sure to be on a high after that win and could be a factor here.
Russell finished 5th in this race last season and is sure to be in the mix again on Sunday.

British Grand Prix 2023
There are 13 races remaining in the 2023 F1 season, yet it’s really beginning to feel as though the race for the World Championship is over. After a tight start to the season, where we had a few drivers in the hunt, 2-time defending champion Max Verstappen has found another gear and is now opening up on the pack. It might still be a little too early to call it, but that might not be the case for very much longer, unless Verstappen inexplicably gets cold and allows one of the other drivers to close the gap. The fact of the matter, though, is that his current form suggests that the chances of this happening are essentially slim to none. This weekend will see the drivers cross the pond for the British Grand Prix, which will be held on the iconic Silverstone track. Let’s take a look at the current F1 odds.

Max Verstappen
Like we said at the top of this piece, there are still a lot of races to come, but you do have to wonder how any other driver can move up and take out Max Verstappen. He has now won each of the last 5 races, which means that he has won 7 of the 9 races to this point. Further compounding the problem for all the other drivers is the fact the in the 2 races that Verstappen did not win this season, he finished 2nd in both of those. That’s about as close to perfect as it gets, and he shows zero sign of slowing down. This Grand Prix is one that has eluded him, though, so there may be a glimmer of hope for the other drivers.

MyBookie Betting Lines for the Game
Sergio Perez
After winning 2 of the first 4 races of the season, it looked as though Perez might be set to take a run at his Red Bull Racing teammate. He has not been able to sustain that pressure, though, and while he is still sitting in 2nd in the driver standings, he is now 81 points back of Verstappen. If he is to close the gap and make this championship battle a good one again, he is going to need to rediscover that early season form. Perez was 2nd in the British Grand Prix in 2022, so if Verstappen stumbles this weekend, perhaps Sergio can pick up the pieces.
Lewis Hamilton
Are the last couple of seasons a sign that Hamilton is indeed human, or does it have more to do with the fact that Mercedes simply cannot keep up with Red Bull? It might be a little bit of both, but the fact of the matter is that it has now been a season and a half since Hamilton last took a checkered flag. This weekend, though, is a homecoming of sorts, and you get the feeling that Hamilton might just find a way to turn the clock back in front of a partisan crowd. Will that be enough?
Charles Leclerc
Last year was a breakthrough season for Leclerc, finishing 2nd overall, albeit a good way off the pace set by Max Verstappen. This season has been a backward step for Leclerc, and it has been a struggle from the start, as he failed to finish in 2 of the first 3 races of the season. He seems like a longshot to win this race, but it might be worth taking a risk to play him for a podium finish.
