Qatar Grand Prix Odds & Top 3 Race Winning picks in the last Race of the F1 Season 2024

Qatar Grand Prix Odds & Top 3 Race Winning picks in the last Race of the F1 Season 2024

Hard as it may seem to believe, there are just 2 races remaining in the 2024 Formula 1 season.

The championship has already been claimed, with Max Verstappen winning his 4th title, but that doesn’t mean that he and the other drivers are not going to be going all out to win in Qatar this weekend.

Today’s F1 Top Favorites to bet on the Qatar GP
1. Lando Norris | 340 points
2. Max Verstappen | 403 points
3. Oscar Piastri | 268 points
4. Lewis Hamilton | 208 points

2024 Qatar Grand Prix Analysis

The Constructor’s Series is still up for grabs, as is a share of the bonuses and prize money that comes with performing well in individual races.

We are now going to look head to the penultimate race of the season, the Qatar Grand Prix, to see who could potentially land on the podium.

The odds that we are listing here are for finishing in the top 3, so please keep that in mind when you wager.

Lando Norris -248

The goal for Norris heading into the final two races of the year is to ensure that he stays in 2nd place overall. He is just 21 points ahead of Charles Leclerc in 3rd, so he is going to need to finish strong in order to ensure that he finishes as the runner-up to Verstappen.

This, in my mind, is a bit of a risky bet in terms of a top 3 finish, as Norris has finished 6th in each of his last 2 races. That might be enough to put you off, but let’s not forget that he finished in 3rd place in this race last season, so this might be an opportunity for him to get back into the top 3.

Max Verstappen -162

Now that he has clinched his 4th straight World Championship, there is always the chance that Verstappen might take his foot off the gas in the final couple of races of the season. That said, he does not strike me as a man who does things halfway, as he only really seems to be happy when he is winning races.

Those victories have been hard to come by in the 2nd half of the season, but when you consider that he has a win and a 2nd place finish in his last 2 races in Qatar, you get the sense that he might be about to put an exclamation point on his season.

Oscar Piastri -132

It has been a solid 2nd full season for Piastri in Formula 1, as he picked up his first victory at this level, which he then followed up with another victory later in the season.

That said, he has cooled off in the last month or so and has failed to get on the podium in each of the last 4 races. He finished 2nd in this race last season, but I think his current form keeps him off the podium.

Lewis Hamilton +126

We are reaching the end of an era, as Hamilton will be moving on from Mercedes at the end of the season. Is he going to go out with a whimper or a bang? That is a question that we will get the answer to soon enough, but let’s focus on this weekend in Qatar.

Hamilton did break out of a slump with a podium finish in Vegas, plus he has a win in Qatar. Let’s take a shot with him finishing in the top 3.

2023 Qatar Grand Prix: Some of the excitement of Formula 1 racing gone out the window now that it appears as though Max Verstappen is about to embark on an era of total domination? F1 Odds and Lines | MyBookie Sportsbook

Given the interest in the sport and the number of people who still flock to wager on every race, you have to say that F1 is still a major draw. Part of that may be because we love to see athletes or teams at the height of their powers, knowing full well that there is usually a limited window where one can dominate the rest of the pack. Verstappen is there right now, and while he is the outright favorite to win every race, it’s still fun to try and find those weak spots where some other driver might come out and upset the odds. Speaking of which, the F1 odds for the 2023 Qatar Grand Prix are now available, so let’s take a look.

Max Verstappen

As always, we are putting Verstappen in a section of his own before looking at some of the other drivers who might upset the apple cart this weekend. After a poor run, at least by his lofty standards, in Singapore, there was a feeling that perhaps Verstappen was taking the foot off the gas and cruising the remainder of the season. He put that idea to rest rather quickly by going out and winning in Japan, which was his 13th victory of the season. Now, after a year’s absence, we are back in Qatar for a Grand Prix that Verstappen did not win in 2021. Before you get the idea that he might be vulnerable here, keep in mind that he did finish 2nd in his last run in Qatar. Still, maybe that door is open just a crack for the other drivers.

Other Potential Winners

The most obvious contender to Verstappen this weekend is his Red Bull Racing teammate, Sergio Perez (+1175), who has already won a couple of races this season. While Perez could potentially win this one, you do have to wonder of he is going to get in the way of Verstappen’s attempt to beat the record of wins in a single season (15). I would look at Perez as a potential podium finisher here, though.

One driver who you should definitely consider for a top 3 finish is Lando Norris (+1175). He is finishing the season strong and comes into this race on the heels of back-to-back 2nd place finishes, which means he now has 4 podium finishes in his last 7 races. He has never won in F1, but getting on the podium seems a good bet.

One driver that we have not spoken about all season long is Oscar Piastri (+1700). The young Aussie is just 22 years old and is in his first full season as an F1 driver. As you might imagine, there have been some ups and downs, but he has forced his way into the top 10 in the driver standings and is coming off a 3rd place finish in Japan last time out. If you think that he can deliver a second straight podium run, then you can probably get him at very decent F1 odds.
