NFL 2021 Green Bay Packers Betting Options Analysis

NFL 2021 Green Bay Packers Betting Options Analysis

The coming season in the NFL is going to be unlike anything we have seen before, as we now have an extra week of action to look forward to. The move from a 16 to a 17-game season is not that surprising given that it has been discussed for several years now. The addition of a playoff spot in each conference last season essentially opened the door for the extension of the regular season in 2021. More football is always a good thing, but it will create an even tougher grind for every team in the league. Only the best will survive, with many football fans and media types believing that the Green Bay Packers might well be in the Super Bowl mix. With that in mind, we are now going to look ahead to the coming season for the Packers, whilst also examining their current NFL odds and potential plays.

Green Bay Packers 2021 Season Options to Bet On

Packers Divisional & Playoff Chances

The upcoming season for the Packers was essentially in a state of limbo before Aaron Rodgers finally decided to return to the fold. There was some serious doubt as to whether or not he would ever don the green and yellow again, but he has a new contract in hand and is now ready to launch another MVP type season. The Packers won the NFC North in comfortable fashion last season and are favorites to win it again at odds of -150.

This should be a bit of a canter for the Packers in the North, as there really doesn’t appear to be a solid rival for them within the division. Making the playoffs seems like a given, with the question now being if the Packers can get the top spot in the conference to avoid the Wild Card weekend. Green Bay is at +600 to win the conference, while sitting at +1000 to win the Super Bowl. In short, this is a team that many believe can make another deep run.

Packers Regular Season Win Total

Right now, the Packers win total for the 2021 season is set at 11, but that might change prior to the start of the season now that Rodgers is back on board. This is a team that won 13 regular season games last season and who made it all the way to the NFC Championship Game. You look at their division and see no reason why they cannot win all 6 games in there, which is nice for those planning to play the OVER.

The Packers do have a tough start to the season, with the 49ers, and Steelers all on the schedule in the opening 4 weeks, as well as a game versus the Lions. If they can come out of that run with a 3-1 record, they will be in very good shape indeed. That is followed by a trio of very winnable games before things start getting tough again in Week 9 versus the Chiefs.

There are a few more tough ones in the final weeks, most notably against the Browns and Ravens, but overall, you have to like the Packers to hit double-digit wins again this season. I would not be surprised to see them win 12 or 13 games this year.
