Horse Racing Odds, Picks, and Betting Analysis | November 21st Edition
Churchill Downs | Friday, Nov. 25
- Grade 2 Ms. Revere Stakes – 1 1/16 miles turf – 3 year old fillies
Trainer Kenny McPeek plans on saddling a couple in this: Lady Puchi and Lovely Princess. Neither figures to go off the chalk over Brad Cox trained Bubble Rock.
Connections for Fancy Martini, Have a Good Day, and Quality Star also plan on running. Kentucky based trainer Victoria Oliver will saddle Take a Stand and She’s Gone.
- Grade 1 Clark Stakes – 1 1/8 miles dirt – 3 year olds & up
Fresh off a fourth place finish in the Grade 1 Breeders’ Cup Classic, Kentucky Derby winner Rich Strike hopes to win another race before the end of the year. Rich Strike could end up going off the chalk over Fulsome, Proxy, Trademark, Injunction, Last Samurai and West Will Power.
Aqueduct | Saturday, Nov. 26
- Grade 2 Red Smith – 1 3/8 miles turf – 3 year olds & up
The Red Smith projects as one of this weekend’s most competitive stakes races. Chad Brown saddles Highest Honors, the likely favorite.
But Christophe Clement runner Soldier Rising and Mike Maker trained Temple both have a chance. So does Dynadrive, Reigning Spirit, and Shawdyshawdyshawdy.
Churchill Downs | Saturday, Nov. 26
- Grade 2 Golden Rod – 1 1/6 miles dirt – 2 year old fillies
At least 5 runners will go in the Golden Rod. Tom Amos puts the saddle on Hoosier Filly. American Revolution from the Bill Mott barn should also attract action. T Max, Sabra Tough, and Pretty Mischievous figure to also break from the gate.
Del Mar | Saturday, Nov. 26
- Grade 2 Seabiscuit Handicap – 1 1/16 miles turf – 3 year olds & up
Beyond Brilliant trained by John Shirreffs, Hong Kong Harry from the Phil D’Amato Barn, and Brad Cox trained Set Piece will attract action but Cristophe Clement runner City Man will go off the chalk.
On paper, City Man has these over a barrel. Other runners that should go include Graham Motion trained Wootton Asset, Brendan Walsh trained Santin, Kentucky Ghost, Irideo, and Lane Way from the Richard Mandella barn.
Del Mar | Sunday, Nov. 27
- Grade 3 Native Diver Stakes – 1 1/8 miles dirt – 3 year olds & up
Five horses from five of the best trainers on the west coast have confirmed their runners for the Native Diver. Newgrange goes for Phil D’Amato.
Newgrange’s former trainer, Bob Baffert, saddles Defunded. John Sadler, Flightline’s trainer, puts the saddle on Tripoli. Richard Mandell unleashes Tizamagician and John Shirreffs will enter Parnelli.
Even if the above five are the only horses that will run in the Native Diver on Sunday, the race should be fantastic. Put your handicapping hat on for sure.
