FlyQuest vs Dignitas

FlyQuest were the top favorite on the LCS outright betting markets before the LCS 2023 Summer started, which made sense. FlyQuest fielded the most stacked LoL roster in the league in LCS 2023 Spring and made further improvements ahead of the final split of the season with the signing of Vulcan as the new support.

But despite all the talent, FlyQuest couldn’t accomplish much so far, with defeats against 100 Thieves, TSM Cloud9, and Golden Guardians. Losing against Cloud9 isn’t a problem, and FlyQuest nearly won against Golden Guardians, but overall, they’ve not looked good.

Dignitas haven’t accomplished much this split either and are 1-3 ahead of their match with Team Liquid. Dignitas’ only win came against Evil Geniuses, but even that was a fluke. And for a more realistic view of how good DIG are, we should focus on their losses against Immortals, Cloud9, and Golden Guardians, where Dignitas looked terrible.

It’s easy to doubt FlyQuest and what they can accomplish after such a poor start to the season, but this team has potential. On the other side, Dignitas are playing like the worst team in the league.

Cloud9 vs NRG Esports

Cloud9 are the defending LCS champions, and they look like they won’t be dethroned this split. It’s too early to make any firm conclusions, but there’s no denying that Cloud9 have looked incredible over the first week of play.

Cloud9 are currently one of the two teams (besides TL) that have yet to lose a match, with wins against Golden Guardians, Dignitas, TSM, and FlyQuest. Admittedly, Cloud9 have yet to play any good teams, but with FlyQuest’s struggles, there are no good teams left in the league besides Team Liquid.

Overall, C9 have not disappointed and produced a few dominant wins, proving that they’re still as good as they did last split.

NRG Esports (former CLG) are 1-3 after four games, which is far from good. They started the season with a loss against Evil Geniuses, then added another defeat against Immortals, and bounced back with a win against 100 Thieves, only to lose against Team Liquid.

NRG have yet to show anything remarkable, and they likely won’t. NRG Esports are a mid-table team who’ll win a few games and secure a spot in the playoffs, but they lack the talent to be one of the top squads in the league.

Since we’re still very early into the season, it’s not entirely unlikely that we’ll see a few upsets, and they will happen. But not in this match.

Cloud9 are too consistent and too powerful for NRG Esports, and this should show in the final result on Friday.

Week 2 Prediction: Cloud9 -7.5 kills | Bet Cloud9 vs NRG Esports Today
