Friday night is almost upon us, which means it’s time to start prepping for another big MMA event. This time around, we are turning our attention to LFA 122, which is set to go at 7 PM EST on UFC Fight Pass. There are 6 fights on the main card, with a title fight serving as the headline bout of the evening. We are going to take a moment to break down all 6 fights on the main card, which includes listing the current LFA odds and making some predictions as we go. There is a lot to get to here, so let’s jump right in.
MMA Betting Preview for LFA 122: Johnson Vs Mota
Jeremiah Curtright (+160) Vs Sarek Shields (-200)
We get the main card rolling with a Welterweight bout featuring a pair of fighters in the early stages of their pro careers. Curtright had a rough beginning to life as a pro, losing his first 2 fights before going on his current 4-fight win streak. This is only the second pro fight for Shields, but he did come away with the win in his first bout. I think that streak ends here, as I like Curtright by KO.
Dan Moriarty (-570) Vs Jett Shell (+395)
This Catchweight bout is another tough one to call, as it features fighters who do not have a ton of pro experience. Moriarty jumped into the LFA after an unbeaten amateur career and continued his winning trend with an opening round KO. Shell lost his first fight, but he won the next two and is now making his first appearance under the LFA banner. It’s a step up for him and I think he will lose early on in this one.
Fred Freeman (+430) Vs AJ Cunningham (-630)
Up next is a Featherweight bout that looks to be a little one-sided in nature. Freeman has jumped around to different organizations, but he has had a tough time getting any sort of traction, going 3-3 in his pro career. Cunningham has been a good deal more consistent and has put together an 8-2 record, including 4 wins in his last 5. I don’t see him having any problem improving that record.
William Starks (-630) Vs Glaucio Eliziario (+430)
This Lightweight bout also looks to have a very clear favorite, but strange things happen in fighting. Starks has been solid as a pro, going 7-2 and coming into this one on a streak that has saw him win 3 in a row. It has not been so good for Eliziario, as he is on a 3-fight losing skid and has lost 4 of his last 5. I like Starks with the early submission win.
Brant Moore (-185) V Arthur Estrazulas (+155)
The co-main event of the night is a Lightweight bout that has all the makings of a very entertaining fight. Moore is seeing his stock rise quickly after putting together 7 straight wins that has taken his career mark to an impressive 9-1. Estrazulas has a winning record (2-1) in the LFA, but he comes into this fight on the heels of a loss. I loke Moore to continue rolling with a decision win.
Charles Johnson (-200) Vs Carlos Mota (+160)
We close the night out with an LFA Flyweight Championship bout that will see Johnson look to hold on to his belt. He comes into this fight with an impressive 10-2 record and a 3-fight win streak. He will, though, have his hands full with Mota, who has won all 6 of his pro fights, usually by going the distance. I think this one goes all 5 rounds and I like Johnson by decision.
I have read enough, I need to place my bet now. What to do?
