We have another busy MMA weekend ahead of us, but fear not, we have all the action covered for you guys. For the purposes of this piece, we are going to focus on LFA 124, which is set to go on Friday night at 10 PM EST on UFC Fight Pass. There are no title fights to be found on the main card, but there are 6 fights that are well worth your attention. Many of the bouts on this card feature fighters who are still relatively new to the pro game, so this is your chance to get a look at some up-and-coming MMA stars. Let’s break down all 6 fights on the main card for LFA 124: Formiga Vs Bunes along with their LFA Betting Odds.
MMA Betting Preview for LFA 124: Formiga Vs Bunes
Kasey Tanner (-660) Vs Tristan Lindi (+460)
We get the evening started with a Bantamweight bout that seems designed to keep one of these fighters moving in an upward trend. That would be Tanner, who comes into this fight sporting a perfect 5-0 record. He is heavily favored over Lindi, who is just 2-3 in his pro career and coming off back-to-back losses. Tanner should have this fight won rather quickly.
Austin Wourms (+295) Vs Jacobi Jones (-370)
Next up is a Lightweight bout and another fighter looking to maintain an unblemished record. Wourms will be the man trying to bring that run to an end. He comes in with a 4-3 record, but he is also the winner of 2 in a row. It is still early in his pro career, but Jones has looked good on his way to a perfect 3-0 start. I like Jones to keep his perfect record intact.
Waldo Cortes-Acosta (-570) Vs Derrick Weaver (+395)
The big boys step into the octagon next for a Heavyweight bout, with yet another unbeaten record on the lines. That belongs to Cortes-Acosta, who is a perfect 4-0 in the very early stages of his pro career. Weaver is just 7-7, but he has put it together of late, winning 4 of his last 5 fights. A good run, but I think it end with Cortes-Acosta getting the KO.
Ahmad Suhail Hassanzada (+240) Vs James Wilson (-300)
The common theme of the night continues, with yet another fighter coming into this Lightweight bout with an unbeaten record. That would be Wilson, who is off to a 4-0 start, with 3 wins coming in the opening round. Hassanzada is no slouch, though, as he is a very respectable 7-1 right now. I think Wilson takes this one by decision.
Clayton Carpenter (-210) Vs Windson Ramos (+170)
The co-main event of the night is a Flyweight bout that has yet another unbeaten fighter stepping into the octagon. Carpenter is 5-0 and has only had to go the distance in 1 of those 5 fights. After losing his first pro fight, Ramos has come to life, winning each of his last 4. A good matchup, but I like Carpenter to get the KO win.
Jussier Formiga (-200) Vs Felipe Bunes (+160)
The main event of the night is a Flyweight bout between a pair of fighters in dire need of a win. Formiga is 23-8 overall, but he is heading in the wrong direction after taking 3 straight losses. Bunes is coming off a win, but that victory snapped a 3-fight losing streak, with his record now at 11-5. Neither fighter is in great form, but I’m taking Formiga to win by decision.
I have read enough, I need to place my bet now. What to do?
