As much as we all love MMA, it is always cool when we get an event that is a little different. The LFA are delivering something unique on Friday night, with a 7-fight main card that features an all-Brazilian lineup. Specifically, we will have fighter from Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo squaring off in what should be a fun event to watch and wager. There is a lot of ground to cover with this one, so let’s jump right into the main card and make some LFA Betting predictions.
MMA Betting Preview for LFA 136: Rio de Janeiro Vs São Paulo
Alexia Thainara Vs Ediana Silva
We get the evening started with a women’s Strawweight bout between a pair of very accomplished fighters. Thainara comes in with a 7-1 record and a run that has seen her win each of her last 5 fights, with the last 4 not going beyond Round 2. Silva is 11-2 and winner of 6 in a row, all inside the distance. This is a great start to the night, but I have Silva winning by decision.
Inaildo Santos Vs Jean Matsumoto
The men are up next for a Bantamweight bout that looks to be a good matchup. Santos is 9-1 and coming on off a win after taking the first loss of his career. While that is a solid record, he is going against Matsumoto, who comes into this fight with a perfect 10-0 record. I like him to keep that run alive with the decision win here.
Mailton Azevedo Vs Bruno Lopes
The Light Heavyweights will step into the octagon next, and you have to say that this one looks a little more predictable. Azevedo has a very respectable 10-3 record, winning each of his last 2 fights after dropping 2 in a row. He is up against it here, though, as Lopes comes into this fight with a perfect 9-0 record. I think he makes it 10 with the KO win.
Wallace Lopes Vs Rafael Costa
The Bantamweights are up next and it’s another excellent matchup. Lopes is 9-2 overall and the winner of 4 of his last 5 fights. He has made a habit of getting the job done quickly. It is almost an identical story for Costa, who is 13-3 and another fighter that wastes no time in getting the job done. I think Lopes gets this one, but he might need to go the distance.
Jonas Bilharinho Vs Pedro Lopes
You hate to say it, but this Featherweight bout looks to be a little easier to predict. Bilharinho is coming into this one on the heels of a loss, which dropped him to 9-2-1 in the process. Lopes is a perfect 5-0, but this feels like a definite step up in class for him. This is why I have Bilharinho taking this one via the KO win.
Davi Costa Vs Eduardo Henrique
This Flyweight bout will serve as the co-main event of the night, and as you might have guessed, it’s a good one. Costa is 11-3 and on a 7-fight win streak. All the more impressive is that all 7 of those wins came in the opening round. Henrique is 10-1 and winner of 5 in a row. He also has a habit of quick finishes. I have Henrique getting the decision.
Italo Gomes Vs Wellington Prado
Last but not least, we have the main event of the night, which is a Featherweight bout. Gomes started his pro career at 7-0 before losing a couple, but he comes into this one on a 3-fight win streak. Prado is 12-2 and winner of 4 of his last 5 fights, so he is certainly in form. This is a tough one to call, but I am taking Gomes by decision.
I have read enough, I need to place my bet now. What to do?
