Another big fight weekend is in the books, but the good news is that we don’t need to wait very long for some more MMA action to come along. As we do every Monday, we are going to look ahead at the events coming our way this week, and while it is a little quieter than we would like, there are still plenty of bouts and betting opportunities with which to grow your bankroll. All told, we have 3 different events coming our way this week, with the UFC closing out the week, as they almost always do. Besides that, we have the next set of fights in the Dana White Contender Series, as well as a big card from Cage Warriors. There will be no MMA betting predictions made in this piece, but we will take a quick look at what is coming over the next few days, so let’s get to it.
MMA Events during this week: Don’t miss out on these betting events + Dana White’s Contender Series | MMA Odds by MyBookie
MMA Week: Monday, September 4th – Sunday, September 10th, 2023
Dana White’s Contender Series Week 5
When: Tuesday at 8 PM EST
Where: UFC Apex, Las Vegas, Nevada
TV / Streaming: ESPN+
We have another batch of solid up-and-coming fighters stepping into the octagon on Tuesday night, with each of them trying their best to impress Dana White enough to potentially land a spot in the UFC. As is always the case with the weekly Contender Series card, we have 5 fights to look forward to, so let’s jump in and check out the bouts:
- Dione Barbosa Vs Rainn Guerrero
- Jean Silva Vs Kevin Vallejos
- Chad Hanekom Vs Dylan Budka
- Serhiy Sidey Vs Ramon Taveras
There is no co-main event here, so this brings us directly to the headline bout, which sees Bruno Lopes and Brendson Ribeiro go at it in a Light Heavyweight bout.

Cage Warriors 159
When: Friday at 9 PM EST
Where: Sycuan Casino Resort, San Diego
TV / Streaming: UFC Fight Pass
It’s off to San Diego we go on Friday night for Cage Warriors 159, and while there are no title fights to be found here, what we do have is a massive main card with a ton of betting opportunities. There are a lot of fights here, so let’s get right to it:
- Alex Trinidad Vs Lucas Martino
- Anthony Warken Vs Manuel Medina
- Sean Rose Vs Ian Daube
- Jeremy Fattorusso Vs Ritchie Rodarte
- Bobbt Winther Vs Marcus Walston
- James Settle Vs Brian Mitchell
- John De Jesus Vs Elijah Leggett
- David Lopez Vs Terrance Saeturn
- John Andrus Vs Mason Iacobellis
- Roberto Hernandez Vs Toby Misech
This event is a little odd in that it does not really list a main event, but the final fight of the night sees Wilson Reis and Trevin Jones square off on what should be one worth waiting for.

UFC 293
When: Saturday at 6:30 PM EST
Where: Sydney, New South Wales, Australia
TV / Streaming: ESPN / Pay Per View
We close the week out with a massive event from the UFC, with a brilliant title fight sitting at the top of the main card. As is always the case with a numbered event, there really doesn’t look to be a bad matchup on this card:
That brings us to the co-main event of the night, which has Tai Tuivasa and Alexander Volkov going head-to-head in a Heavyweight bout. We close things out with Israel Adesanya defending his Middleweight title against Sean Strickland.
