The weekend is set to begin with a bang, as we have Cage Warriors 139 set to go at 8:30 PM EST on Friday night. There are no title fights to be found in this event, but we have a solid main card that has 6 fights. We have some lesser-known fighters, especially in the early part of the main card, which makes this event a little trickier to handicap. We are going to try and break it all down as best we can to see if we can deliver some winners. Let’s get right to it so you can bet against the Cage Warriors Betting Odds.
MMA Betting Preview for Cage Warriors 139
Chasen Blair (-555) Vs Kona Oliveira (+380)
We open up the main card with a Welterweight bout between a pair of relative newbies. Blair has just 1 pro fight to his name, but that one came under the Cage Warriors banner and was a convincing opening round win. Oliveira started out life as a pro with a win before jumping ship to Bellator, where he lost both of his fights there. This should be another quick win for Blair.
James Settle (+375) Vs Junior Cortez (-550)
Next up is a Bantamweight bout between a pair of fighters doing a good job of building a solid reputation. Settle opened up his pro career at 1-1 before winning each of his last 2 fights. Cortez is a little more experienced and comes into this one with a 5-2 career mark, although he is coming off a loss. I think he bounces back with a win in this one.
Armando Murillo Jr. (+110) Vs Elijah Harris (-140)
Stepping into the octagon next are a pair of Light Heavyweights, both of whom are in need of a win. Murillo really needs one, as he has now lost 2 in a row, a run that has seen his record fall to 4-3. Harris started life as a pro with a perfect 3-0 record, but he is coming off a loss last time out. Who bounces back in this one? I’m taking Harris with the submission win.
Elijah Leggett (+160) Vs Brandon Laroco (-195)
Next up is a Featherweight bout, with one of these fighters looking to protect a perfect record. That would be Leggett, who comes into this one at 3-0, with all those wins coming via unanimous decision. Laroco has moved around different organizations, compiling a 6-2 record in the process, and he should be able to get his first win with Cage Warriors.
Cesar Gonzalez (+310) Vs James Lynch (-410)
We have a Catchweight bout up next, with both fighters in this one being somewhat unpredictable. Gonzalez comes in with a 4-4 record, and while that is not great, he has won each of his last 2 fights. Lynch has also been a little up and down, going 4-2 to this point, and he is coming in off a win last time out. I like this one to go the distance, with Lynch getting the win.
Jordan Bailey (+140) Vs Alex Trinidad (-170)
We close out the night with the main event, which is a great looking Lightweight bout. Bailey is 6-5 and on a bit of a downward spiral, losing 2 in a row and 4 of his last 5 fights. Trinidad is also coming into this one on the heels of a loss, but he is 5-3 overall. This is another one that looks set to go the distance, with Trinidad getting the decision.
I have read enough, I need to place my bet now. What to do?
