It’s another big weekend of MMA action coming our way, starting with Cage Warriors 140, which is set to go at 1:30 PM EST on Saturday afternoon. This is a big one that you are all going to want to tune into, as it has a title fight as the headliner. The main card as a whole is comprised of 5 fights, the majority of which feature some up and coming fighters in their respective weight classes. While that makes handicapping those bouts a little tougher, we are going to dig a little deeper to see if we can come up with some winning picks. With that in mind, let’s get into each of the bouts, with Cage Warriors Betting Odds and predictions for each.
MMA Betting Preview for Cage Warriors 140
Ryan Shelley (-260) Vs Matthew Elliott (+200)
We get the main card rolling with a Featherweight bout between a pair of relatively new fighters looking to maintain their unbeaten records. Shelley comes in with a perfect 4-0 record, and all without having to break too much of a sweat, with all 4 fights ending inside the distance. Elliott has a pair of wins to start off his pro career, but he had to go the distance to get both of those W’s. I think this one goes all the way, too, with Shelley getting the decision.
Federico Pasquali (+150) Vs Harry Hardwick (-180)
We have a little bit more experience at the pro level in this Featherweight bout, which has all the makings of a very good one. Pasquali comes in as the underdog despite going unbeaten through his first 7 pro fights, which includes a win under the CW banner last time out. Hardwick is 8-3 overall and is on a run that has seen him win 3 in a row, with 2 of those wins coming in Cage Warriors. I like this one to go all the way, with Pasquali getting the nod.
James Sheehan (-390) Vs Martin Causse (+315)
Next up we have a Welterweight bout between another pair of fighters who are still relatively new to the pro fight game. Sheehan did not have the best start, going 1-2 in his first 3 fights. Since then, though, he has been in great form, winning each of his last 3 fights. Causse started out with a loss, but he has since won 3 in a row, as well as having a No Contest in the mix. I like Sheehan to get the win, and I like him to get there via KO.
Caolan Loughran (-130) Vs Festus Ahorlu (+100)
The co-main event of the night is a Bantamweight bout between a pair of fighters looking to extend their unbeaten records. Loughran comes into this one with a perfect 5-0 record, the majority of which were inside the distance. It is a very similar story for Ahorlu, who is also 5-0 to start his career, although he has a tendency to go the distance in his bouts. I think we see this one go all the way, with Loughran getting the nod.
Rhys McKee (+160) Vs Justin Burlinson (-200)
The main event of the night will see one of these men walk away with the vacant Welterweight Title. McKee comes in at 11-4-1, winning last time out after losing 2 in a row in short stint with the UFC. He seems much more suited to this level. Burlinson is 7-1 overall and is also coming in off a win after bouncing back from his first career loss. This should be a great one that goes the distance, with Burlinson getting the win.
I have read enough, I need to place my bet now. What to do?
