Betting Dana White’s Contender Series: Season 8, Week 3
Dana White has done a great job of promoting the sport of UFC, and he continues to ensure that the sport will have success moving forward.
The Dana White Contender Series is now in season eight, and week three of that event will be taking place this week.
Not only is this a show that you will want to watch, but it’s an event in which you can find some great betting opportunities as well.
Here is a look at some of the top odds for this week and the bets that you want to make.
Writer’s Picks for DWCS Week 3 Bouts
Aswell-Grad in Battle
It appears that the best fight of the night could take place last, and that’s usually what happens in UFC events as well.
Michael Aswell and Bogdan Grad are two fighters that look to have a long career in the UFC and they will be meeting up on Tuesday night.
The betting odds don’t always set the stage for every single fight, but that does appear to be the case in this matchup.
Aswell is a slight underdog at -105, while the odds for Grad aren’t much better at -125.
Since the odds are pretty tight for both of the fighters in this matchup, you will have a chance to cash in regardless of which way you go.
There is a reason that Grad is a slight betting favorite though, and that is who you should look to back on Tuesday night.
Bramhald Poised to Upset Opponent
There are going to be some upsets that take place throughout the night as none of these fighters are invincible.
That’s not always the case when looking at the top UFC events as the best fighters tend to take control.
Malcolm Wellmaker will be taking on Adam Bramhald on Tuesday night, and this will be one of the best fights of the night.
These two fighters have had different results up to this point, and that is why Wellmaker is the current betting favorite at -210.
Adam Bramhald is a slight underdog at +160, but he will be the fighter to watch if you want to get an upset pick in this one.
There is a ton of value in betting on him at +160, and he is clearly good enough to win this fight.
Two Other Fighters to Back
It’s not always going to be about getting a ton of betting value when looking at Dana White’s Contender Series fights on Tuesday night.
Sometimes you simply want to go with two fighters that will win a bout, and there are a couple of good options that stand out.
Nick Piccininni will be taking on Jack Duffy this week, and these odds are a bit more spaced out than what you might want.
Taking Piccininni at -315 will be the way to go in this fight as he is going to come away with a win.
Another fighter to back is Liam Anderson at -200, and he will get a nice win over Andrey Pulyaev on Tuesday night.

Betting Dana White’s Contender Series: Season 8, Week 1
One of the best things the UFC has ever done is back for its 8th season on Tuesday night.
Dana White’s Contender Series starts season 8 of the series with five very interesting matchups between impressive prospects from all over the world.
These athletes will compete to earn a UFC contract and change their lives with an opportunity on the world’s biggest MMA platform.
Let’s go over each matchup on this Tuesday night’s card, along with the betting lines for each.
We will discuss the stylistic comparisons and what you should expect out of each fight.
There are new opportunities to bet on the UFC early in the week now, let’s start off strong.
Writer’s Picks for DWCS Week 1 Bouts
Lone’er Kavanagh (-190) vs. An’Tuan Ho (+165)
Kavanagh is an impressive kid out of the UK with great athleticism and pure martial arts skills.
His comparison would be Nathaniel Wood right now.
He resembles his athleticism and physicality, but might even be more explosive.
Ho is just as impressive and has the same undefeated confidence as Kavanagh.
This has Fight of the Night written all over it and should be incredible to watch as this new season of DWCS kicks off.
There will be explosive exchanges on the feet and probably even nifty scrambles on the ground at some point as well.
It’s hard to imagine one of these guys will finish the other, and there might be a big chance both men will earn contracts.
We are taking Kavanagh to get his hand raised on Tuesday night in this flyweight bout.
This will be a banger of a fight that will most likely go the distance.
Kavanagh is going to get the slight edge on the scorecards because he will beat Ho to the punch most of the time and do the most damage on the feet.
Jose Delgado (-330) vs. Ernie Juarez (+270)
Delgado is a big featherweight who will have an advantage in this division for as long as he’s able to make the weight.
He fights with his hands at his waist and can get a bit risky at times, but his talent is easy to see.
He is also an underrated wrestler and can hold his own against high-level guys, it seems.
Juarez is a solid grappler and all-around fighter, but he might not be comfortable enough and confident enough to use all his skills.
It’s tough to put a finger on it, but he looks slightly timid and unable to unlock his apparent skills in some fights.
This will be a huge test.
Even though Delgado has some holes in his game, he is the more dangerous fighter and a better athlete than Juarez.
Delgado will use his physical advantages and be too overpowering in this one.
Bruno Lopes (-190) vs. Mikheil Sazhiniani (+165)
Lopes is a very good grappler with a lot of potential in mixed martial arts.
He competed in DWCS last season when he lost by KO and proved he wasn’t ready for that stage.
After going and getting a win this year, he is back for a second opportunity.
He needs to be smarter and understand that he can’t brawl against very talented guys because he isn’t very fast or sharp in the pocket with his boxing.
Sazhiniani is a fun fighter to watch.
He sometimes throws wild techniques that aren’t needed, but he’s at his best when he’s hunting down his opponents and cutting the cage off with pressure while throwing massive shots.
He has the hands to catch the slower Bruno Lopes in the pocket, but Lopes is the more skilled all-around fighter.
This is the underdog pick of the card.
Lopes is probably the more skilled fighter, but his fight IQ is suspect and Sashiniani won’t go down easy.
The Georgian will be throwing massive power shots and closing the distance with explosive movements.
Sashiniani by TKO/KO is a great pick.
Meng Ding (-172) vs. Rami Hamed (+147)
This is a good matchup between two guys who have plenty of experience looking to just make that jump to the highest level.
Ding is a strong, physical fighter who can get the job done by both striking and grappling.
He has over 40 fights in professional MMA and will be ready to perform in this high-pressure situation.
Hamed is a good southpaw striker who has been exposed in the past for his grappling skills and takedown defense.
This is a straightforward fight where Ding will most likely want to wrestle and Hamed needs to keep the fight on the feet.
This is a very tough fight to pick because of the lack of information and current form for Ding.
We aren’t sure how to compare the level of competition, but Ding looks to have the advantage on tape.
Look for a submission win from the Chinese veteran of the sport and an interesting new wrinkle in the UFC with a primed, experienced fighter.
Mansur Abdul-Malik (-305) vs. Wesley Schultz (+245)
Abdul-Malik is an undefeated fighter who has an easy formula to win a fight that you can see just by watching the film.
He is going to use his overpowering pressure and energy to wrestle his opponent and then damage him from a ground-and-pound position–whichever one is easier to get to.
Schultz is a solid fighter who has crafty grappling and a good guard off his back.
He will have his hands full to start, but he has the skills to make this interesting and push Abdul-Malik to places he hasn’t been before.
Even though things might get interesting if this goes past the first round and Schultz can keep Abdul-Malik in his guard and safe, you can’t bet against Abdul-Malik right now.
He is so dominant and vicious on the ground, that he is a problem for any prospect right now.
