CW 149: Cage Warriors 149 Odds Favorites, Betting Predictions & Analysis

It’s another busy weekend in the world of MMA, and we have a great event set to go on Friday night. Cage Warriors 149 is set to begin at 9 PM EST on UFC Fight Pass and comes with a 7-fight main card. There are no title fights to be found in this one, but it’s still a very solid card with lots of betting opportunities to choose from.

Cage Warriors 149 Betting Preview: CW 149 Bout Rundwon

Damon Wilson Vs Shawn Johnson

We get the main card rolling with a Featherweight bout that has the potential to be a bit of a mismatch. Wilson is 5-1 overall and looking to bounce back after taking the first loss of his pro career last time out. Johnson has been incredibly inconsistent, going 3-3, and looks to be in trouble here. I have Wilson with the KO win.

Alberto Romo Vs Alex Trinidad

Next up is a Lightweight bout with a pair of fighters heading in very different directions. Romo is moving on up after winning each of his first 4 fights as a pro. On the flipside, Romo is 5-4 and comes into this one having lost 2 in a row. I like Romo to get the job done quickly, with submission being the most likely form of victory.

James Lynch Vs Guilherme Santos

We have another Lightweight bout up next, with both of these fighters struggling to find consistency. Lynch is sitting at 5-3 overall, but he is coming off a loss and a 2-2 record in his last 4. Santos is really sliding at the moment, losing 2 in a row and 3 of his last 4 to fall to 8-4. Slight nod to Lynch for the decision win.

Blake Perry Vs Joshua Nakagawa

Next up is a Welterweight bout with a pair of Featherweights looking to get something going in the early part of their pro careers. Perry started out with a win, but he took his first loss last time out, it’s much the same story for Nakagawa, who won his first 2 fights before losing 2 in a row. I like Perry to come out on top in a close one.

Bill Wilson Vs Obadiah Johnson

This is another bout where experience is at a premium, as both of these guys are new to the pro game. Wilson is 1-1, winning his opening fight before taking a loss last time out. It is the exact same story with Johnson, so both guys will want a win to get on the positive side. I think it will be Wilson with the decision.

Wilson Reis Vs Ricky Camp

The penultimate fight of the night is a Bantamweight bout with a pair of experienced fighters. Reis is 26-12 overall and comes into this one on a modest 2-fight win streak, which came after 2 losses. Camp is 12-4 overall and has been hot, winning 6 in a row ahead of this one. A close fight, but I think Camo edges it.

Roberto Hernandez Vs John de Jesus

The final fight of the night is a Featherweight bout that looks like a solid matchup. Hernandez started pro life with a loss, but he has since bounced back to win 5 in a row. De Jesus has had many more fights, going 15-10, but he has gone just 2-2 in his last 4. A good challenge for Hernandez, but I think he gets the decision.
