If you are a fight fan, you are in for another treat this weekend, as there are several big events on tap and ready to go. We are going to do our very best to cover all the action, starting with LFA 118, which goes off at 10 PM EST on Friday night. If you have UFC Fight Pass, you can check out all 6 fights on the main card. Let’s do a quick breakdown of all those fights, with LFA Betting Odds and predictions for each.
MMA Betting Preview for LFA 118: Amorim Vs Young
Ricky Furar Vs Jose Avalos
The main card begins with a Catchweight bout that features a pair of fighters with incredibly similar records. Furar is 6-2 and comes into this one on a 2-fight win streak. Avalos has the exact same pro record and is on a run that has seen him win each of his last 3 fights. They may have similar records, but I think Furar is the better fighter and I like him to get the KO win.
Javier Garcia (-255) Vs Ryan Fillingame (+200)
Next up is a Featherweight bout that features a pair of fighters who have been a little up and down in their pro careers. Garcia is 7-4 and is coming of a loss that snapped a 3-fight winning streak. Fillingame has been incredibly inconsistent and has taken 3 losses in his last 5 fights. I think this one goes the distance with Garcia getting the nod.
Dione Barbosa (+195) Vs Jena Bishop (-235)
The ladies are up for a Flyweight bout that is a little harder to predict given that both women are still very early in their pro careers. Barbosa won her first 3 pro fights before finally losing last time out. Bishop has only had 1 professional fight, but she came away with the win in that one. I like Bishop to get her second win via submission.
Alandria Brown (+110) Vs Sidney Trillo (-140)
We are looking at a bit of a coin flip with this Strawweight bout, as it features a pair of fighters with just 1 career bout under their belts. Both of them came out on top in their debut fights, but I think it is Trillo who has the slight edge, and I like her to come away with the decision win.
Leandro Gomes (-260) Vs Askar Askar (+200)
The co-main event of the night is a Bantamweight bout with a pair of fighters in very different runs of for. Gomes is sitting at 6-1 and has won each of his last 4 fights ahead of this one. Askar is 11-2, but he has been in a bit of a skid of late, losing 2 of his last 3 bouts. I think we see this one going all the way, with Gomes getting the decision.
Jaqueline Amorim (-115) Vs Loveth Young (-115)
The headline event of the night will see the winner walk away with the vacant Strawweight Championship. Amorim has made a perfect start to her pro career, winning each of her first 4 fights. Young is 3-1-1 and comes into this bout on a modest 2-fight win streak. I think it will be Amorim who gets the win via submission.
I have read enough, I need to place my bet now. What to do?
