LFA 132: Gomes vs Costa Betting Odds, Analysis & Predictions

There are a lot of big MMA events to look forward to this weekend and given that they are taking place in various different global locations, we are not seeing a lot of these events clashing. For the purposes of this preview, we are heading to Brazil, which is the location for LFA 132. This one begins at 9 PM EST on Friday night and is home to 7 big bouts on the main card. There is a lot of ground to cover here, so let’s jump right in with the preview and predictions along with the LFA Betting Odds.

MMA Betting Preview for LFA 132: Gomes vs Costa

Jose Henrique (-160) Vs Pedro Oliveira (+130)

We get the main card started with a Middleweight bout that features a pair of unbeaten fighters. Henrique is 4-0 and has a habit of getting fights over with rather quickly. Oliveira is not quite perfect, but he does have a 5-0-1 record, with 3 of his wins coming early in bouts. I don’t see this one going all the way, as I like Henrique for the KO win.

Edna Oliveira (+360) Vs Gabriella Hermogenes (-510)

The women will step into the octagon next for a Flyweight bout that looks to be a little lopsided. Oliveira comes in with a 10-9-1 record, but she has lost 2 in a row and 3 of her last 5 fights. Compare that to Hermogenes, who is 6-1 and unbeaten in 5, including one win under the LFA banner. This one may go the distance, but I like Hermogenes to prevail.

Yasmin Castanho (-195) Vs Bruna Brasil (+160)

It’s the women again, but you have to say that this Strawweight bout looks to be much more evenly matched. Castanho comes into this one looking to keep here perfect record intact, going 5-0 in the early part of her career. Brasil has taken a couple of losses, but she is still a very respectable 6-2-1. I think Castanho does enough to stay perfect on Friday night.

Leo Leite (-185) Vs Claiton Trassante (+155)

The next fight up on the main card is a good-looking Light Heavyweight bout. Leite saw a perfect 10-0 start to his pro career come undone and is now on a streak that has saw him lose 2 in a row. Trassante has a solid 9-2 record and comes into this bout having won 3 in a row and 4 of his last 5. I like Leite to get the bounce back win via submission.

Gabriel Silva (-165) Vs Rono Junior (+135)

We have a Featherweight bout up next and a fighter looking to snap out of a losing slump. That would be Silva, who comes into this fight having lost 2 in a row to fall to 8-2. Junior is 8-1 and is on a 3-fight win streak, but this is a bit of a step up in class for him. I like Junior to take this one the distance in a losing cause, as I like Silva for the decision.

Luan Luiz Lacerda (-305) Vs Marciley Alves (+225)

We now move on to a bout that serves as the co-main event of the night, with a pair of very good Bantamweights squaring off. Lacerda is a rather impressive 11-1 as a pro and is on a 9-fight win streak ahead of this one. Alves in 9-2 and winner of 7 of his last 8 as he makes the move to the LFA. A good matchup, but I have Lacerda with the submission win.

Italo Gomes (+130) Vs Melquizael Costa (-160)

The headline event of the evening is a Lightweight bout between a pair of evenly matched fighters. Gomes is 10-2 overall, but he has stumbled a little of late, with both of those losses coming in his last 5 fights. No such issues for Costa, who is 17-4 and on a run of 5 straight wins. I like Costa here, but this one may go the distance.
